One thing I love about the web version is that I can see most of the information that I need from a single view. If I need to dig into anything specific like my notes it's a single tap away. On the mobile app, I'd love to see it make the most out of landscape view on a tablet (I personally use an iPad). From the root character page, if I want to see all of my actions that I can make, I need to tap the menu, select the section, and then view. On the web, I get all of that from a single tap. It's not a major thing, it just feels faster to navigate on the web vs the app.
Linking the app to my current account was kinda clunky. After linking my Twitch the process just left me on the Twitch page. I had to restart my phone and then open the DDB player app again and then was able to view character. Not sure if that will get better after alpha.
Viewing is easy and dark mode for the player app works wonders. I could make changes to characters on the web on a different computer and refresh my app and see everything. I can turn off the internet and still access any characters I have opened while connected to the internet.
Can't wait to have editing turned on and really test it out. I am interested in how offline editing will work and sync with the online profiles.
Currently, the app allows you to access character data in view-only mode. You cannot display detailed descriptions of the stats nor edit them.These features are being built at this point and we are going to issue regular updates with these features in place.
I love the current aspect of the app. As more editing/running the character sheet functionalities are added, I am certain it will prove to be an awesome tool.
One question: is the intent to keep the back connection to source books as online, or would it “connect” to the downloaded source books kept in the compendium app?
Hello! The new features work fantastic. The only remaining issue is that of characters that had other classes removed still displaying them (although now it only happens in the general display, and not within the character sheet), though I’m sure that’ll be fixed soon.
Today we released v0.6 with the following capabilities:
Modify HP when you are online
Modify conditions and exhaustion when you are online
By "online" does that mean changes made while offline will update to the servers and regular online sheet once the app reconnects, or that you need to be currently online to make those changes to a character within the app? Obviously #1 is the eventual behavior, but I suppose #2 is possible as it is being developed.
I ask because I've been eagerly following the thread to see how things are progressing, but haven't yet gotten an invite to try it out myself. Still hopeful I will though!
1. HP of all kinds seems to be working well. Temp hp is getting put on and taken off as intended, override max is working, modifying your total is working just fine as well.
2. Conditions are working I can click them and uncheck them as I see fit I just would love the little drop down menus we have on the full sheet. I assume that’s coming later.
3. When I saw infusions I wondered if you meant we could make them now but having them show up and be visible is a good step.
4. I noticed you can track inspiration now. Something else I noticed is that it doesn’t track between sheets. If I mark it on the app then click the link to the full sheet it doesn’t stay. The weird thing is that vice versa it does work. Marking it on the full sheet then backing out marks it in the app. Very strange bug there but it’s also very small.
All looks very nice so far. Will we get the ability to be sort our characters how we wish? The website is chronological, the app is alphabetical. Being able to sort by those and maybe by level would be great.
Being able to tell whether you have inspiration or not is pretty difficult because of the black background, maybe make the display white when you have inspiration to contrast with the rest of the display being black to make it more obvious.

If you've been invited to become a tester, make sure you're signed in to the account that was invited to the testing program. If you've been invited to a Google Group or Google+ Community as part of the program, make sure you've joined the Group or Community.
I've received the link to download the app in my Gmail but I'm greeted by an error stating that the testing app isn't available for my account. I only have the one Gmail account and it is the one I subscribe to DDB with.

iOS users should receive the update shortly. For Android, we are waiting for Google to process/review it. I will keep you posted.
We hope you are going to like it and we are looking forward to your feedback.
Last but not least, we are planning to re-initiate roll-out today. The final group of users is going to receive their builds early next week.

Been doing some testing with no negative results yet:
Just making sure there is no current button to reset conditions or HP. I couldn't find anything
Just saw the update so I did a little testing

Running on an iPhone XS Max on iOS 13.4

HP works as intended.
Conditions work and I do like the symbols for each.
Not all of the skills are showing up for different characters. It does show all the proficiencies but randomly stops showing non proficient ones.

It likely hasnt been approved by google yet. We'll have to wait until that happens. Daf mentioned it above. I get the same error.
This is what we are being told. I'm glad I've been selected to try the app, but gotta wait until Google clears it for us to use. Please be today lol
