Click on the gear next to your character's name and you'll have a large toggle labeled "DICE ROLLING". Flip it to Off.

There's no gear next to any of my characters' name in the mobile player app (note this thread is not for the web version). I have the dice turned off in the web version.
Hey all, I really would like to have a DM Part with an overview of all campaigns. Then an overview with all characters and simple and fast Information about HP AC Level Name Class, of course all linked to the individuals character sheets.
I feel like the Apps have nothing for a DM. That makes me sad.
If the Apps have DM things, please tell me, maybe I'm blind.
Thanks anyway for the great work, I like everything!

It is called Player app because it's meant for players...

I have to say, the addition to the player app with the dice roller is just very nice. Top-notch work you all, multiple players on my last session used it without flaw and it was much more stable than the mobile site for DDB.
I don't know if this has been considered or been kicked to the side due to the difficulty it would entail, but I have a couple of ideas that would make the app much more useful for me.
I would like to see the DM have more control over the options available to players. As it is, I can tell my players "that feat isn't available" but its still right there as an option to select. I understand that this probably belongs in the Campaign site rather than just the apps alone, but being able to remove feats, spells, whatever else and then being able to give them back once the situation presents itself. The way I see it, the character creation from the campaign window should have more options to mold the campaign how the DM wishes and could require a character creator personal to each campaign manager. Once this is implemented it would be a piece of cake to design a very useful DM app.
Thanks for reading my insane rambling. Hopefully I got my ideas across lol

This would be a good feature, but I think this should belong to the website app first and foremost - this kind of control (considering the amount of feats and subclasses and backgrounds and other data are already available) would be a nightmare to control from a mobile app. Also the player app's focus is to give a tool for a player to manage their characters - while it makes sense that the character creator would follow and rules and restrictions on a campaign, adding the management tools for those restrictions would make the app unnecessarily bloated, in my opinion.
I think the best approach would be to add the restriction settings to the campaign settings, make characters created for the campaign follow these rules, and add a tool for the DM to validate characters imported into the campaign against these rules. This is partially working, as you can setup what materials are available for a character created or updated in a campaign, which might not be the scalpel you want, but gives at least a base tool to work with.
But considering the effort/impact level of this, currently the best way is if you set up a list of allowed/forbidden materials in either the campaign notes or as a shared online document and trust your players to follow them.

Hey, my DDB player app doesn't have the settings gear anywhere I can see? I was wondering why I couldn't roll the digital dice, and then I realized there's no option anywhere to turn dice on or off. I deleted and reinstalled the app but it's still the same - I can just see my list of characters and can look at their sheets just fine, there's just no little settings gear anywhere. Am I missing something?

I stumbled upon them by chance (I wanted to turn the dice off, as I constantly rolled when I just wanted to scroll / see details):
select one of your characters
click on their portrait
there should be a popup saying "My dice" (with a d20 icon, not a cogwheel)
there you can turn your dice on/off, and can do additional settings if the dice are on.
Not very intuitive, considering it's not a per-character but a per-app setting, which people would look for in the per-app configuration page (i.e. when you click on your portrait in the character selection menu)
Yeah, we have the dice enabled but the dice results don't show up in the new roll tracker.
One of my players has issues with DDB's roller freezing up on every second roll and has to refresh his browser to use it. He doesn't have this problem with the Player App but I want all my player rolls to be in the log so I can see them (sometimes hearing what someone has rolled on Zoom is a challenge and can really slow combat down).
Nb. He is using an iPad however another player is also using an iPad and doesn't have the same problem but that could be down to the generation of iPads being used.

(note the how to enable the dice was an answer to AudreyIrena)
Are the charaters added to the same campaign? I just tested it myself and the roll has shown up in the game log of each character in the campaign.

Can you see said rolls on the player's own log in the mobile app?
Also, is the device properly connected to the internet? When I tested locally, the campaign log was updated on the fly - when I pressed the roll button, a roll request immediately appeared, when the roll finished, it was updated with the value.

Hi, unfortunately for me nothing happens when I click on the portraits. :( Lol I tried that and was clicking and tapping everywhere hoping to find a gear pop up before.

Currently Dice Rolls from the Player App don't show up in the new Game Log. Will this feature be available (assuming an active internet connection)?
