Yes, it is homebrew but it still hasn't modified the attacks since yesterday. Idk if it's simply not set up right or what, but it hasn't altered the sheet
I would recommend you go to the homebrew section of the forums. They have a lot of tutorials for exactly this sort of thing and the people there will be able to help you build something that works. It will depend on how exactly you are trying to modify your unarmed strikes.

I've added the modifier in the feat but I can't get it to activate and modify my attacks.

If you are referring to a homebrew feat, it takes a bit of time (around an hour) for the homebrew to update on a character sheet.
