There is an option when adding a spell via feat called "add to known spells", and a few other options, but no combination I can find actually adds it to the regular class spell list. Is there a way to do this? For example if you have a feat for a sorcerer that lets it learn an additional first and second level spell of their choice
That lets you add a spell to a sorcerer, but it still uses up one of the sorcerer's few spell slots - I'm trying to find a way to add *additional* spells via a feat
There is no way to add a spell through a Feat that would be usable as a class spell through spell slots as far as the Character Builder is concerned.
What you want to achieve is not possible through the builder. I can only recommend making a feat to add the spells, and when you wish to use those spells through slots manually check the spell slot off.

This is the same as when you add a spell via Magic Initiate by taking Magic Initiate for your class. You’d still have to manually check off the spell slot when you cast that spell.

If you are homebrewing feats, you could also just make a homebrew of whatever spell they wanted to add and have it be on their spell list.
For example:
Go to spells and select create.
Choose an existing spell (possibly cure wounds) and select create.
Change the name ie. Cure Wounds(Sorc)
Chance the AVAILABLE FOR CLASS(ES) seciton to Sorcerer only.
Awesome idea for the spell list limitations!
