A few things I've thought about D&D over the years that have proven I'm mentally unwell:
-Basilisks have no idea what they look like because they can't look at themselves in mirrors without turning to stone
-What if you had a beholder that had mouths instead of eyes
[REDACTED]
-If the tarrasque isn't immortal, it implies baby tarrasques exist, maybe even in a nest. The only thing keeping me from making this adventure is my friends' tolerance of my bullshit
-Piglins are the Minecraft equivalent of orcs
I probably have more but I won't share because I don't want to get banned for shitposting
Piglins live in Bastions, which are apparently these ancient Piglin-made fortresses. Here's the kicker: Piglins can't mine, build, or craft. This implies that the Piglins captured numerous of some entity that can (whatever the player is), and forced them to build their Bastions.

Resurrection magic can take effect centuries after a creature's death.
The souls of mortalkind are said to immediately be drawn to the plane corresponding to their alignment, where that soul is transformed into a planar being.
Resurrecting a long-dead Hero of the People to serve the Realms once more means killing the Celestial that Hero had become.
A Level 2 Wizard can cast Creation to make Purple Worm Poison, which deals 12d6(d8?) poison damage and requires a DC 19 Constitution Saving Throw.
Creation is a 5th level spell. How does a level 2 wizard cast Creation? Also, creation specifically lists the type of things that can be made. The object must be composed of: vegetable matter, stone/crystal, precious metals, gems, or adamantine/mithral (or some combination of them). Poison is not something the spell can create.

Whoops. I was thinking of Minor Creation.

Someone someplace has tested what can and can not make half-races with each other for each possible combination of races and subraces.
Along that same line, someone's partner has returned home from a long journey of adventuring with a completely different body after going through reincarnate and some kid at school has had to explain why their dad is now their mom a tortle now.

okay but imagine being some fantasy medieval kid who has Mistress Oogway as a mom I'd go ****in bazonkers
With regards to the Tarrasque, I think it is a better idea to NOT have it have babies. I see three other possibilities for it's creation.
Magical process. One possibility is that somewhere there is a cursed magic item that when you attune to it, you become a Tarrasque. Or it could be what happens if you miscast a Wish spell, etc. etc.
Metamorphing creatures. Some creatures have radically different life stages. Egg, Larva, Pupae, butterfly. Given it's size, it probably hast to do the transformation in water, so let's say, Egg, Fish, Spiny Whale, Tarrasque. Maybe even the Fish are delicious and some poor idiot is breeding them....
Halfbreed. You know how a human can have children and you get a Half Elf? Well guess what happens when a dragon mates with a Frost Worm...

A creature normally only evolves spines as a defense mechanism. Normally, the predator of the spined creature can fit the prey in their mouth.
The Tarrasque is heavily spined.
