Will the deluxe bundle be offered in local stores?
Doubtful they even could. You buy direct from WotC and they ship you the book and email you a code. There's little space for physical stores in that equation. I think this is WotC experiementing with cutting them out of the chain.

Will the deluxe bundle be offered in local stores?
The Dragonlance bundle is an experiment and won't be done through local retail or amazon or anyone else besides OneD&D or whatever they're calling it. They'd like to have more options to support this bundling (at retailers etc) in time for 2024 but it sounds like from now through 2023 till whenever WOTC PROJEKT D&D 2024 GOLD comes out will be figuring out how to do that.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
I'm pretty psyched for the bundle, but $13 for shipping is pretty crazy, and eats up like 2/3 the value of the bundle. Geez, it takes maybe 30 minutes to drive from Renton, where they make D&D to South Lake Union in Seattle, where Amazon is based (without traffic). Somebody could have gone over one afternoon and asked how they can sort out cheaper shipping or some kind of partnership with the amazon marketplace, to say nothing of an email or phone call.
The price point is a bit weird, but someone coming here as a first time poster (or using a throwaway account) and complaining about being slapped in the face is just dumb.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. Being so emotionally invested in a bundle that doesn't come out for three months isn't healthy.
The way things are heading with D&D I don't feel like I'll be sticking around for more than the next two years. And that sucks, because I just started to come back to it with a plan for a decent sized campaign and a plan to make a lot of maps well in advance. I'd offer my reasons, but it's become pretty obvious that it would just get shot down by sycophants, as judged by the little "likes" attached to every comment saying "No, it's wonderful!" And "How dare you impugn my overlords!" If ever there was a socially acceptable way to make bullying acceptable, social media has found it.
You are doing as you should. You feel strongly about this and you are voting with your money, which is the only opinion WotC cares about. If enough people don't like it and vote with their dollar they'll either rethink it, or scrap it.
But honestly, nothing WotC does affects your game and your campaign at all as long as DDB hosts the current content, and if you have physical books there is NOTHING they can do to harm your game.
There are things I don't like about the system currently. I don't use them. If I don't like the direction a book is going in I don't buy it. You are 100% the curator of your gaming experience and WotC can't stop you from playing the game you want. There are thousands of people still playing older editions, and anything new isn't gonna make 5e any different.
As one Youtuber says, WotC doesn't control your fun. That said, there are plenty of other systems for you to try. I play DnD because my friends do and it has a great ecosystem, but it's not my favourite system.
A lot of people complaining that the physical/digital bundle is $60, but I think it's been pretty clear for a while that if such a bundle were ever offered, it would be the combined price. It really shouldn't be surprising to anyone at this point.
I guess the main main benefit of the bundle is the early access. That will probably be enough for me. I probably could get it a little cheaper through two purchases but I will pay a little more for early access.
I am sick and tired of consumers complaining about price and shipping, so I am absolutely glad those consumers felt Wizards gave them a nat 20 slap to their face and casted Vicious Mockery on them. Hasbro is not operating a charity, TTRPGs are not some important necessity that people need to live and survive, and D&D can already be played for freaking free. If I am being a cheapskate, between the Basic Rules/SRD, free official content, UA, and practically infinite free homebrew online, why the **** would I pay for D&D? Hell, most mechanics in sourcebooks can already be found in UA, usually in more beefed up form that is twice as fun. UA might not be balanced, but it is freaking free for Christ's sake.
God forbid I have to pay more for luxury goods so its makers can have a decent wage and support a family. Who gives a damn about sweatshops and slavery as long as it makes my wallet happy? What is a supply chain? I do not care about warehouse workers having unstable, seasonal jobs with shitty hours. I do not care about truckers not seeing their families for days or weeks on end. I do not even give two fornications about customer service people, and they are fun to cuss out over the phone and are even better targets in real life for spitball practice. What is Ukraine and mother nature? I do not care about them burning as long as gas is cheap; California is literally on fire and they are doing just fine.
You do not want to pay the higher price? Then do not buy it. If you want all the official published content for a very low cost or freaking free, there is a way to do that, and it is called going out there and making friends, and find those who have a stocked digital and physical library. If you find a friend like that, you might as well go the extra mile and put a ring on that person, cause they are a keeper.

I found the person who works in a customer-facing role!
lol in all seriousness though, this. There are ways to play for free. Vote with your wallet.
65$ for the usual Halfbaked, low efforts content that they've been given where teh disclaimer could be "thanks for the cash sucker, now go and ask your DM to deal with whatever holes we left cause we couldn't actually be bothered to do the work we're paid for"...
Yeah no still overpriced...

Shipping to Canada is $42.
This is why bundles aren't really a big deal. They're rarely more affordable.
As a Canadian, we get lumped into the Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand shipping rate as though we aren't located next door. How does that make any sense? I want to get excited about the physical + digital bundle but once you factor in the exchange rate, I can literally buy the book via Amazon with prime shipping, and buy it digitally separately on Beyond for a similar and possible cheaper cost than straight from WOTC. No incentive to buy this "bundle" at all.
Is the only way to get the Alt frontcover artwork version through the Deluxe edition?, basically forcing you to buy the Warriors of Krynn board game if you just want the Alt frontcover?
I do however apricate yet another release coming to DnDBeyond later than the physical version, unless you buy the bundle that is!
I for one can't wait until buying the digital only versions of the newest releases is always the least time efficient way to pre-order the latest material!

Where do you get that??? It won't be available physically until December 6, bundle or not. If you get the bundle, you get the digital version on November 22. So your options are:
Buy bundle: Get digital Nov 22, physical Dec 6
Buy digital only: Get it Dec 6
Buy physical only: Get it Dec 6
Buy both separately: Get both Dec 6
In none of these scenarios are you getting the digital any later than the physical.

Well... shipping in Germany 12.99€ or 0€ if the order is above 99€... that is a bummer for a one off bundle (for now)...
Personally I think the bundle for $60 is a little steep.
That is why I am just going to buy the Deluxe Bundle and get some toys to play with too. $154 price tag, but hey, its DRAGONLANCE!

Not at all.
Most companies never forewarn about changes they are telling us a year and a half to 2 in advance.
As for Beyond it appears they only recently got total control of it.
I'm glad to see they are fully integrating.
