This is a flail snail. A large sized elemental with an antimagic shell, flails on its face, and it used to have the ability to have those flails chopped off, and wail when it was at low HP. Yes, you heard me right. The flail snail will wail.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
Owlbears are the best. I'm slightly biased, since the first game I ever played my DM let me have an owlbear as a pet, but it the best regardless. Also, it fills me with major Atla nostalgia.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
I’ve recently started enjoying the construct monster type.
In a world filled with monsters; mortal kind decides to BUILD them. XD
Seriously though; Nimblewrights are cool sword-dancing bodyguards; Autognomes are charming, animated objects / furniture make for memorable encounters, and “living spells” are perfect magical encounters.
I like goblins - but I have a sort of bafflement that others seem to prefer kobolds. Like, how can you like kobolds? Over goblins? How?! =)

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.
What’s a flail snail?

My fave too! It's a preposterous creature that is also profoundly unsettling and weird.
Gotta go with Giants. Ever since I played through the Against the Giants campaign in 1e, I've been hooked.

Anything old school.
Dragons though not so much. Just to powerful. Scary.
