I'm not quite sure where to post this, so I'm putting it in the general forum. First off, how common are wereravens in the forgotten realms? I think they exist in Ravenloft, but are they typically found elsewhere? Secondly, were a Kenku to be afflicted with wereraven lycanthropy, would anything really change other than the dex score and the bite attack? I've examined the player characters as lycanthropes part of the monster manual, but I can't make sense of what changes with the character in terms of stats and abilites other than what it specifically says changes. Does a PC control when they transform? Does it happen only when the DM decrees? Do PCs retain control of their character when in that form? Does a wereraven gain the multiattack and regeneration on the monster stat block? Would there be any physical changes to a Kenku with wereraven lycanthropy? Does a Kenku wereraven regrow functional wings? What other wereraven or general lycanthrope traits (if any) would transfer to a wereraven Kenku?
I haven't got any answers, as it generally falls to "check with DM" but I absolutely detest the way they insist on using the word lycanthropy wrong.
Lycanthropy = werewolf
Therianthropy = werebeast

Eh, Lycanthropy is a more household name than Therianthropy. Besides, they're still wrestling with the difference between races and species. Cut them some slack.
