...The inclusion of sidekicks - content we already had from Dragon of Icepsire Peak - good with repeat of content?
Oh, come on. DoIP had a sample of half a dozen characters that I don't think you even had the mechanics to level-up. They were pretty substandard for the adventure, trying to have a single set of stats cover for a PC over the course of seven levels, and you were stuck with the same characters. TCoE gave you the mechanics to create your own sidekicks as well as how to level them up so they stay relevant. You can't complain that Tasha's merely rehashed DoIP.
The sidekick rules also gave us, via the Warrior, an easy way for any martial class to have a scaling combat mount, pet, or other companion without needing a specific subclass.
But has something happened with Crawford and/or Perkins, or is this the OP's nonsense?
The OP was just giving them best wishes in a para-social media type relationship. There is nothing going on anywhere. No WotC employee that is sane is going to say a single thing on what the new Execs are doing on social media without wanting to get fired with cause for breaking social media guidelines.

Absolutely fantastic, if you didn't want to have any stats particular to that mount, pet or other companion and you were just happy to rename the generic warrior. Oh, and if you never wanted to go above level 6. If you wanted those things, Tasha's has the rules for doing so.
As I said, Tasha's didn't just rehash DoIP.

No, they are not fired. Leaving of their own volition, however...
I doubt they will do this. Crawford and Perkins are in arguably the best positions they could be for their industry. Though the Open Game License controversy may have upset a large number of D&D fans, there are still plenty more who will continue playing as is. There were 50 or so MILLION players before this, and what, 65,000 or so have signed the petition for Wizards of the Coast to change this?
Yeah, D&D will remain D&D for a long time to come. This is not the apocalypse and it wont end it. Sure, some people may leave their jobs. But the faces of a massive corporation that is leaps and bounds the best in its industry? These people have an excellent position and are likely doing quite well in it. Your concerns about how they will be affected by this seem quite overblown, to say the least.
Until I see actual significant signs that they might leave, these two employees are almost certainly staying. All we have at this point is baseless speculation. This thread already has 640 views, and everyone who viewed it will likely be confused and frustrated. Why? Because your post made ambiguous statements about two top employees potentially leaving. You phrased your speculation as one might phrase facts and people who view this thread will have to scroll 19 posts down to realize it's just rumors.
I doubt you were trying to do this, but your original post and title were quite misleading. If you wouldn't mind it, I think that editing your first post on this to explain more facts about the situation might do a great deal for the community.

I think the odds are pretty high that there will be WOTC employees choosing to part ways before all is said and done.

It’s beginning. Please respect privacy of others, be kind, companies are comprised of many more people than execs.
