As someone who can have concerns about an OGL, and also fascinated with the way the rest of the TTRPG community has responded to it outside D&D, I can also enjoy a good movie trailer. I dig this, the dialogue may be a bit too on the nose in showing a CR influence to PCs irreverence to the surrounding world, but I don't think CR invented that style of banter so much as serve as archetypal reflection of that style of banter. Anyway, I think it's cool.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
Just hope they don’t go too overboard with the “comically ruining the moment” humor. It’s good in small doses, but when they try too hard you get the last two Thor movies
I'll watch it in theaters once for every person in this thread who says they are going to boycott the movie.
So that would be 116 times so far according to this earlier thread, but why not make your pledge on a similar thread with a poll? Anyway, I confirm here. Enjoy! There's not honour among all liars and thieves.

So far, the count is 0! Sorry you wasted your time in that other thread, next time read more carefully.
Yep, you did well to bravely post on a thread with no poll. :')
Hi, this is a thread about a new trailer that dropped, not your internet drama. Besides, hard core DnD Begoners have already admitted to creating alt accounts to avoid mod sanctions of their primary accounts (though I thought they were all quitting?) so the integrity of any polling data of the DnD Beyond community on OGLs, bans, or how many times someone needs to see a movie to commit to a joke is unfortunately suspect.
What did you think of the trailer? I liked it a lot. particularly the Hugh Grant joke about going to another room because he doesn't want to see Chris Pine die. Also because Hugh Grant is hoping Daniel Craig may make a cameo because of Chris Pine joking about the Glass Onion relationship going over everyone's head.
Not planning on seeing it. Canceled my Paramount + subscription once the show was announced, too. Will watch it and resume Paramount + if OGL 1.0a is left alone.
The only way to speak to a corporation is with your wallet. Posting on forums, tweeting, and answering surveys are all meaningless.
The age of OGL is over. The Time of the ORC has come!
The moment that WotC declares OGL 1.0a "de-authorized", "revoked" or any such nonsense is the moment I release as much content as possible under OGL 1.0a and say, "Sue me WotC". OGL1.0a cannot be revoked. If thousands of us do it, the countersuit will be a class action suit.

Not this again.
Paramount is not diligently paying close attention to the actions of a bunch of nerds who sit around rolling dice. That is not how things work.

Looks like exactly what I wanted from this movie. But I won't relax till I see the end credits!

That's the spirit! It's not like the boycott is going to make any positive changes anyway.

The loops tying Chris Pine's wrists (18s) seem twice as large as his fists. :'D
I think he was stalling so the Barbarian could do all of the fighting.

but that's the quality of their imprisonment????

I'm quietly optimistic. Anyone expecting Lord of the Rings via D&D is likely to be disappointed, but it looks like a fun adventure romp.

That's a more even-handed way to shut down a tangential conversation. Well done! :)
I’ve been looking forward to this movie, and I can’t wait to see it in theaters. It’s been a long while since any movie has got me so excited.

I had my reservations with the first trailer, but this one makes me feel more confident.
