I already own a hard copy of the DMG - and I do know magic items are primarily in the DMG - but is there any benefit or other content for character building that comes from having it on dndbeyond? I have some custom magic items I haven’t tried adding yet, wondering if I’ll need that to add them to my players charactershttps://100001****/https://1921681254.mx/?
Oathbreaker Palladin and Death Domain Cleric stick out, I think there's an early version of the Eladrin too. You can buy them for 1.99 a piece or 2.99 for both if you don't want to buy the whole book, if you want those options available.
You don't need the DMG to add homebrew magic items (if that's what you mean by custom. If the PCs are in your campaign you should be able to add whatever homebrew you want to them as campaign DM. All the magic items in the DMG won't be available to you to put on characters sheets. But if you've already home-brewed some magic items, adding DMG magic items as homebrew shouldn't be that hard for you on an as needed basis. 51 magic items are available for 1.99 a piece or 12.99 for all 51.
Actually, it doesn't look like the DMG effort at an Eladrin is available piecemeal. But I might be reading the marketplace wrong somehow.

No, you're not. It's not available, nor the Aasimar. I'm not sure if that means it's not included in the character creator as part of the book or not, I don't know.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

The DMG Eladrin and Aasimar are, if I am remembering correctly, available for free, which is why they cannot be purchased piecemeal. I can't double check that as I have the DMG here. Someone who does not could look. the DMG Eladrin is listed under "Elf" in the builder, and the DMG Aasimar is named "Variant Aasimar" in the builder.

Thanks, I knew they, the Eladrin (and Aasimar) were available in the builder but wasn't sure how someone got them.
So the only content from the DMG that would wind up with utility in the character builder are two subclasses and the magic items.

Most of the magic items from the DMG are in the Basic Rules and therefore don't need to be purchased.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Right, I was going to say I swore D&D core had more than 51 magic items in it, but I didn't really read through the piecemeal available list.
