Are there any single player D&D games available? Something as complex as actually playing a game but to the point where I can play at my own pace? A few years ago I was in a campaign and was ruined by a group of very toxic people (DM, and group alike) and now the only desire I have to play is on my own.
The above are not very good compared to Steve Jackson's (British Game designer with the exact name as the American one) Fighting Fantasy books. Especially the 4 book "Sorcery!" series. They have actual character creation and die rolling mechanics (including flip book method of "rolling dice" printed on the bottom of each page, although these days using a die rolling app on your phone is superior). "Sorcery!" even has an interesting spell-casting system where you actually memorize spells and their needed components.

I believe what you are looking for is along the lines of a "choose your own adventure" book....
The good news is that there are several that are D&D themed!\
Search DMs guild and/or google for 5e Solo adventures. that term usually means an adventure one person can play without a DM

Unfortunately they are out of print in the US and you would order them from Amazon UK or such to get a reasonable price.
The good news, however, is that some of the books were released as apps for ios, android, and steam also. Check them out.
