The "discount" they offer is max 10 dollars off. I've purchased most of xanathars guide to everything piecemeal as I couldn't afford the whole book in my budget and now I can't afford it again... they also will not refund the previous a la carte purchases.

The last point is not exactly new; they’ve never done refunds for Beyond purchases iirc, so that’s just a continuation of the status quo.

What's not new is the reneging on the offer of discounting future purchases based on what you buy now. If it's truly the case that they're refusing to honour past piecemeal purchase discounts above $10, then a refund is entirely reasonable thing to expect.
Has anyone else had an issue of the limits of $10 on discounts? Or is there an announcement somewhere?

So, I followed up with Customer Support about this, and we realized there was a miscommunication in what you were told. To clarify, the discount amount is based on the amount previously spent on the product. There is no maximum discount limit on completing your piecemeal purchase.
Customer Support will be reaching out to you about your discount via your submitted ticket to get that solved for you!

I took a short break from dnd, came back, made a new character and leveled him up, then proceeded to spend 30 legal minutes trying to find out why tf I couldn't just buy the swashbuckler class for my character. The idea that I have to spend a minimum of $30 just because I want one subclass is absolutely outrageous.
I bet the change was made so that people can't buy just singular features from the new PHB, as it's meant to be a package deal that replaces everything it updates. Still kinda sucky that they got rid of the option overall rather than just not make it available for the new books.
Too little, too late. I'm glad people are getting a proper discount now but the last person I engaged with was rude and dismissive only when I replied on here and it got seen was anything done. I really like the look of the new kobold press book and I will be looking at where to buy it so WOTC don't get any of my money.
