Hi All, Despite having an account for about 4 years I never played DnD till this year; I probably was planning on joining a DnD group with friends but life had me moving away about 4 years ago so that might be why I never came back to my account here.
We are playing 3.5e vanilla and using the source forge 3.5e character builder and I downloaded PCGen because I found that the Source Forge builder isn't showing me all my skills; any skills that get stat bonuses but don't have assigned skill points don't show up in the "Show Character". So I created a Wizard and my goal was to make a dark spell caster that is Lawful Neutral and delt in negative energy. If he was a Necromancer, then it would be the Shepherd of the Dead kind of Necromancer, not the Army of Darkness kind of Necromancer. I imagined a life draining Wizard (heals through killing) with some insta-kill attacks. I think in DnD you call these saves? That's what I was imagining but what I got is a character that is the butt of most of the jokes, which is probably more my terrible rolls and my personal disposition, that can put an enemy to sleep while everyone else beats it to death. That's about it...
I tried to use the Necromancer Handbooks you can find online but things like Tomb Soaked Soul and other "Feats" just don't seem to be in 3.5e and I am not sure what skills I should have at all either. Is there a 3.5e Vanilla Necromancer\ or Dark Wizard handbook I can use? As of now he has Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus.
The Character is Level 2, and the DM said that since me, and my spouse, are new and kinda clueless in character making he is going to allow us to tweek our Characters in terms of skills, feats, back story and maybe a stat swap because we only had a few sessions and no one is really going to care. I would really appreciate some advice on setup and planning my Wizard's skills. Also, if it's not too much to ask a Fighter... My spouse has chosen a Fighter; she envisions herself as a kick ass dual weapon wielding dodge and slash fighter so I gave her lots of dexterity ; now I am thinking maybe Strength should have taken precedence?
Did it ever? I’m just curious what’s going to happen to our 5th edition stuff and 5.5 coming out if they’ve done away with past editions on here before or not. Sorry to change the subject.

The site wasn’t created until during 5th edition so it’s only ever supported the one version
As CunningSmile stated, D&D Beyond launched during 5ht Edition.
Per the Wiki Page: "D&D Beyond was launched on August 15, 2017, after an initial beta test that started on March 21, 2017."
As I'm sure you know (because it is being talked a lot about right now with the new edition coming out), that 5e was launched in 2014, so D&D Beyond did not come out until 3 years into 5e being on the market.
Cheers!

Thoughts? Help? Thanks for listening.
This website only supports D&D 5e, not 3.5e. If you’re playing 3.5 you won’t be able to use this website for character management
