I saw the tweet but I read it differently. States discount prices, but the marketplace doesn’t show any discount.
Tax doesn’t affect pricing. It’s additional cost on the total but doesn’t reflect higher prices.
The overall net total you are paying increases because of the sales tax. it's not really a discount so much as avoiding a net price increase if you order before the tax goes live.

While I kinda agree with you, I think that's something that can be perceived differently for different regions depending on how tax is handled.
In Sweden the tax is included in the price. On the receipt you might be able to deduce how much tax you paid. Some will specify just the total and that it includes tax (not how much tax).
I am amazed. So Halloween passes and no coupon codes. Nov 5th sales tax kicks in and they think that we are just going to buy up books and bundles at "standard" pricing to save the 5 or 6 or 7% sales tax before that kicks in??
Here is a crazy idea. REWARD your loyal followers with a BUNDLE coupon code BEFORE the sale tax kicks in. 5% 10% whatever. But throw us a bone!!!!! Comeo on DnD Beyond!

Even if they do release a new coupon before adding taxes, it is probably a better idea to wait for black Friday/cyber Monday sale. The discounts for that will be greater than taxes (even if only slightly) and it will stack with coupons.
I really didn't expect any codes for Halloween (I dont remember there being any last year). But I do remember that there was a black Friday or cyber Monday (cant remember which) sale. That sale will definitely save you more money than the taxes will add, so this is still the best option.
I mean, considering how awesome DDB has always been in regards with discount codes, there's probably a perfectly valid reason why there isn't one last code before sales tax is implemented. Don't assume the worst.
I think people focus to much on the 15% perpetual license of the Legendary Bundle. If RIVALS19 is still working, buy all the books and get like 100 dollars off. You'd have to buy like 20 books with 15% off to come up in the same total, and that's definitely years and years of releases.
For me, waiting for a new code is because I'm broke and have debilitating illnesses that make working next to impossible. But, y'know, I guess you could see me as being 'entitled', if that's the type of person you are.

I'm pretty sure they weren't calling you and your specific circumstances entitled, they were in fact responding directly to another user about their expectation that DDB has some obligation to offer codes. They weren't even making a general statement about wanting or hoping (or in your case needing) codes being an entitled attitude, just that demanding them is.

There are 11 30$ books, 9 25$ books, 3 20$ books, 4 10$ books, and 1 random 15$ book (there are 1 each 30$ and 20$ books for pre order that don't come with LB). Roughly 670$ for books, 720$ plus pre order. You save about 144$ just using 20% off coupons (and the bundle will still cost 37.50$ just for discount). If you buy the bundle for 573.50$ then buy the remaining pre orders with 20% off coupons, you will save 112.50$. Which is a difference of 31.50$.
Using the average book cost of 24$, you would save 7.68$ (cost 16.32$) using coupon after bundle, and save 4.80$ (cost 19.20$) using only coupons. With a difference in saving of 2.88$, it would take roughly 11 book purchases to make buying a legendary bundle without a discount worthwhile (less if you buy books without coupons).
Of course the best savings either way would be to wait for a black Friday/cyber Monday sale.
I don't know of any other fair way to do this so I guess it's first come gets it. I have a 50% off code for the player's handbook that I already have so here's the code:

Hope it finds it's way to someone in need. Happy gaming!
Please post when you take it so people know not to keep trying it!

when checking for valid coupon codes, when you hit APPLY CODE, and say its a one time use code, but you do not proceed to checkout, does that burn your code? or do you have to complete the transaction? im so hesitant to try it, but i want to see the new totals.... then ill have less self control, lol

Should only consume it when you actually make a purchase with that code. I know I was able to view the savings a few times when I was trying to make a purchase recently on different combinations.

Does anyone know if sales tax applies to purchasers that live outside of the US/Canada?
I'd presume it's based on your location? Certain states have no tax and others exempt digital goods.

Lol at this sense of entitlement
