Hi hoping one of the Community Team sees this to answer the question.
I don't get the physical books I have been digital only for sometime but I notice the ultimate bundle which has lots of interesting stuff like the astarion digital book requires getting the ultimate bundle which is digital + physical copies. My question is, is there a version of the bundle that is digital only so I preorder the two books and have access to the extra digital books or will they be available to purchase separately at a later date an just you get them for free with the ultimate bundle?
I will be honest I have no issue purchasing the three extra books separately later i that is an option but it would be good to know i it is an option.
Clarification would be nice, but I'm pretty sure they are only dangling those extras out there to make you buy the physical books too. They won't offer them later is my guess. Either buy the bundle or lose out. I hate it. I don't mind the updates, looks nice, but bundling online extras with buying a physical book (but not if you buy the digital book) is not right.
Hi, all. The answer is yes: Astarion's Book of Hungers, Netheril's Fall, and the secret third expansionwill be available for purchase separately after the full release of Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn and Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn.
Great, can you confirm about getting the extras? If I get the digital bundle to I get the digital extras? Or only if I get both the digital and physical books?
The digital bundle does include the three expansions, the dice set, and the map pack — everything you’d get in the Ultimate Bundle except the physical books.

According to DND Discord chat, the digital bundle will include the digital extras. Now if we can get a mod to also post that here it would help avoid confusion
Yes but the marketplace listing even for the digital bundle is misleading:
Purchase the Ultimate Bundle to save $76 and receive the physical and digital versions of both Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn and Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn; the Baldur's Gate 3 Digital Map Pack; the Forgotten Realms Factions Digital Dice Set; and 3 exclusive digital expansions: Astarion's Book of Hungers, Netheril's Fall, and a secret third expansion – to be revealed soon!
It doesn't say "digital bundle" only "Ultimate Bundle" implying that only if you get both physical and digital. If you get the digital stuff as well it should say that, and then in a separate line, "save $$ by getting the Ultimate bundle and get the physical books as well" or something like that.
Thanks for the information! Do you know anything about how much they might cost? It's quite an ask to be basically $60+ more for the digital bundle if these are basically bundled-in handouts that will go for $10-20 apiece vs. if they're robust expansions that will actually run the price of a full book. They certainly are interesting- vampires are neat and I think the Netherese are fun villains. However, it looks like the digital bundle runs $126.93 and doesn't seem to benefit from the legendary discount, which is fine if that's either already factored in or the bundle is a meaningful discount, but if it's just some extra digital dice I'd rather use the legendary discount. Unless the expansions run $60+ then it would actually be a worse deal to get the bundle for legendary discount holders. If each expansion is $20 with the core books being $40 and $30, then that's basically $130 worth of books, and the legendary discount would save roughly $13. (For math purposes, the two books separately are $59.48 for legendary bundle holders, which means that the expansions would need to be at least $79.97 list price for them to be competitive with the legendary bundle discount. And while yes this is penny pinching, everything's so much more expensive these days so don't blame me for trying to save money where I can when buying content to run games for my players. I would miss out on the BG3 map pack but while I would love them I don't think it's worth $13 for some maps I probably won't end up using more than once or twice in a campaign.)

There might be an error (or I am misunderstanding you). I am seeing a Legendary Bundle discount on the Digital Bundle. It is $107.89 and specifically marked "Legendary Bundle Discount" for me.
So with my legendary discount the cost of the two books individually is a total of $60, dice sets are about $7 this also includes the map of Faerun. The deluxe bundle is $107 that is a $40 difference for the three digital only books. I am assuming a$15 - $20 price point for each digital book once they are offered for individual sales so maybe a $20 savings at best.
Huh I'm not seeing a Legendary Bundle discount here on the digital only bundle https://marketplace.dndbeyond.com/BB-ForgottenRealms-25/DB4GTNRLM, just on the individual player expansion. I would also like to know why it costs sooo much more than the two separately (one with discount)
If I don't buy the new book, do I lose access to the Bladesinger on my 2024 Wizard?
Since the 2014 subclasses are still available until they get "replaced" by the 2024 versions, what happens if we don't buy the 2024 versions? Presumably if I buy the new book then the Bladesinger will be updated to the 2024 version, but what happens if I don't buy it? Do I keep the old version? or do I lose access to the subclass altogether?

It costs more than the two books separately because it also include three digital expansions, a dice set, and a map pack.
The product page mentions this is part of the Ultimate bundle though, not the digital bundle.
I want to believe that the Digital Bundle costs so much more than the two digital items separately because it's got the expansions and stuff included, and that the product page mentioning the Ultimate Bundle is just a copy/paste error. However, poor product and bonus item descriptions/explanations have gotten a lot of people burned on past pre-orders. Furthermore, bonus material like dice, maps, etc. have historically been included in the price.
I understand these bonus materials are apparently quite significant and thus may warrant additional cost, but the combination of unclear product description, past history, and incredibly high price point makes me *very* nervous about pre-ordering until there is a verified, clear answer as to exactly how it all works and why. Even then I'd be a little skeptical that WotC wouldn't pull the rug out from us and disavow whatever statement mods here shared.

That definitely needs to be corrected

I’ve asked to see if we can get the individual prices of those add-ons to share.

Most expansive release on the Realms? Also most EXPENSIVE release on the Realms.
