Im making a drow hexblade warlock of the raven who used to be a conman that sold random junk and "cure alls"(one of their cure alls acidentally poisoned a champion of the raven queen and that's how they ended up in this mess). I wanted to put 3 levels into a multiclass to represent that sort of background and was curious what would fit them best, and what subclass.
I’d say Bard; showmanship and performance are at the core of both bards and conartists. It also has the advantage of being CHA dependent like warlock. Subclass is harder. The 3rd level features for a lore bard seem to fit your concept the best, even though the general fluff for lore bard does not. From a mechanical standpoint, college of swords would I think mesh well with a hexblade, but I’m not sure it’s particularly consistent with the theme you are looking for.
Arcane Trickster or Illusionist Wizard can also work. Nystul’s Magic Aura begs to be used to sell 'magical' potions, trinkets, junk, and get out of town asap...

Good suggestion! I was thinking about lore bard so I think I'll go with that, thank you!
