So I'm playing a ranger in a ravnica campaign, and am gonna try to be doing a lot of climbing (simic hybrid nimble climber) to get around. I'll naturally be a dex based character, but do you know if climbing would be more of a STR based skill? Or if I can choose which should apply?
Basic climbing doesn't use a skill, it's just half movement. Getting up really difficult areas or trying to move faster would require a Strength (Athletics) check, Swing on vines and backflipping off things like you're an Olympic gymnast might be Dexterity (Acrobatics) but generally climbing and obstacles is an athletics thing.

Ah, I was under the impression climbing, even with a climbing speed, would require a roll. Is there any RAW on that?
