“But this isn’t right. You’re meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying-that’s what all the other knights did!” “Yeah, right before they burst into flame.”
Perhaps an unpopular opinion... but what if the code was written such that Adohand’s Kitchen posts didn't count for titles?
It would prevent people bombing the off-topic forum with minimal-content posts to get a new title the day it was released.
I guess that if people want to be the Hey I post hundreds of posts to the Kitchen! type of forum residents, and Beyond's okay with that, then that's that with that.
Hopefully Beyond will come out with Titles that actually mean something, in response.

I'd have to agree with Vexx (because I'm a resident of the kitchen lmao) The titles are cool and all, but random posting in the Kitchen gives me something to do until people post in my Play by Post, or whatever discussion. I wouldn't be nearly as active in my Play by posts and other discussions of it weren't for the Kitchen keeping me online 18/7 (I have too sleep a little bit...)

There's no other way to really earn them through a forum without post or like/thanks upvote farming. Tie a Bard title to the Bard forum and you'll see a big rise in random low-content posts flooding otherwise valuable topics. Tie it to getting likes/thanks upvotes and you'll just see everyone with a signature pointing to the ^like button.
As it is, it's a paced introduction that's easy to farm in a harmless section if you're desperate for them.
Maybe titles could be based on your number of likes instead of your post count? A spam post that means nothing won't get a like, but some genuine, "I have concerns about this, this, and that." will. Titles based on number of likes might be lend to better earned titles. I mean, with my post count, I only have 70 likes, while I've seen people with 1/7 my post count with just as many likes as me; or more.

Yeah it would be kool to have Like based titles aswell. I kinda want both lol.
Like based ones could be more special like "Ancient Red Dragon" type stuff or something lol. (Maybe not the best example :P)

I feel like at the end of the day like based titles could just indicate the guys with the second account liking all their own posts.
But if people are so pissed off about Twitch, then they might not want to make a second account. That is a ton of effort just to got titles. If anything, just keep spamming post count, and you'll get likes on stuff, eventually.
I'm going to use this post just to say a big thanks for the great forum!
More like I'm going to use this post to get more titles. Don't worry bud, that's what I do too. This is a safe place, you can be honest.
These forums are actually one of the best things on DnD Beyond so far, in my opinion. I used to browse the WotC forums all the time and it really sucked when they closed them down. This has become a sort of replacement for them now, and it has the same feel that the old forums had. It's nice!
just unlocked the next title list, and looking back at the title lists from earlier editions that they're drawing from for titles...I don't know if any title tops Murderer aside from Waghalter, they really should have saved those two for right under Assassin instead of popping them in the lower levels. I want to rep that I'm in that next level of titles but Waghalter is too good to give up (even tho Murderer is really good)
I'm glad for this thread so I know how to get those titles, but at the same time I'm disappointed. There's no "Beholder" title for getting or using Xanathar's guide, or "Dungeon Master" for running X campaigns, or "Alchemist" if you contribute homebrew. That's what I'd want to see, a bit more thought into this neat little mechanic.

If there wasn't the kitchen to do it in then people would just clog up the General forums with it. So it's better this way imo.
Those forum games are literally on every other forum site you go to lol.
And people would still play them to up their post count or simply out of boredom even if titles weren't involved. :)
