There is a new survey posted. Beyond the usual background community info, it asks about preferences for future products, including interest in new D&D movies, games, and TV series.
Of particular interest to a lot of people in this forum will be a question near the end asking about interest in official material related to different D&D settings. For the folks who complain about too much Forgotten Realms and not enough Eberron, this is your chance to ask for more of your favourite setting!
Kind of a kick in the feels that some of my favorite D&D things weren't actually mentioned on the survey. Hope it was just an oversight and not a deliberate thing.
List: The BECMI/Rules Cyclopedia version of the game, the D&D console/arcade games like Tower of Doom and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and the Mystara and Birthright campaign settings.
Thank you for this! More Eberron! More anything NOT FR! I'm sitting here converting things manually from my 3.5 Eb books... and it's not always fun.

Totally agree, Not much is told about them which in turn makes it quite hard to use in a campaign properly.
What difficulties have you run into? I've been having a really easy time of using various planes of existence in my 5th edition campaigns using nothing but the information found in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

I just want more detail. A lot more detail. (I'm starting to get a bit wild-eyed and fanatical at this point.)

I want a campaign where I don't have an entire sep log where I have translated all possible groups, towns/cities, countries, etc into things that fit Eberron. I had several notebooks for keeping track on top of the campaign book and my own notes. I was so salty having to lug all my materials back and forth from my house to where the game was being played.

I would love to see more of the Domains of Dread as adventure books with the same quality as Curse of Strahd. I mean... my name-sake should be a hint haha.
Also, I would throw all the moneys at WoTC if they did a full 5e conversion of the original box sets for Planescape and Undermountain.

Ah, yeah. I can get that. Those are the kind of things that led me to completely change my DMing style what feels like forever ago - now that my style is very heavily improvisation-based, I've got a lot less want or need for most sorts of detail.
At the same time though, I totally understand where you two are coming from, so I'll remember to cast my future votes as if I needed even more detail than I do, because I'm putting together a campaign in HackMaster right now and if all I had as far as setting information goes was the 11 pages they put in an appendix of the GameMaster's Guide I would be freaking out too.
Yeah I forgot to mention that they didn't talk about 'classic' or 'basic' D&D. If you look at OSR rulesets there are a lot of B/X based rules, because they are so good! I have a soft spot for BECMI, because that is where I started. And Mystara rocks!
Too much FR, not enough Planescape. We need a guide to the planes.
I do like FR but it is getting a bit long in the tooth. I would personally like Wizards to put out some Greyhawk, or Dark Sun setting books. Planescape would be awesome too.
I would like to see Birthright out again, but that is not going to happen.
It always gets me excited to see them even asking about some of these things. Unfortunately, after a couple years, they've yet to actually release much of anything new :(

Some Dark Sun and more Eberron would make me a happy guy. I would be happy with a more robust psionics system than what we have with the Mystic. That would check two big boxes for those worlds.

Greyhawk needs to be in 5th ed. Planescape would be fun as it would re introduce sigil and the Lady of Pain.

Less Sword Coast Forgotten Realms and maybe a visit to other FR locations.
More Eberron and more Greyhawk. Dragonlance and Mystara would be good follow-ups, though I doubt we'll see those.
