I hope that they announce the second real book at the end of the stream even if I highly doubt it as there are no panels scheduled. But as somebody posted they said min the post about changes tobracial themes that this book will come out later THIS year. Looking at the different unearthed arcana subclasses and the githyanki and the nautiloid in the bg3 game it could be planar player options. Psionics even, but that is big maybe I’d say.
I stumbled upon an interesting 5e realm called Azerim where all the player characters are quest giving NPCs in an MMO that became self-aware.
For the first adventure linked above, they got sucked through a portal into the preview of Descent into Avernus and spent the whole time trying to get home, begrudgingly doing the adventure only for the promise of going home. Azerim is based completely on Epic NPC Man, expanded into an entire realm for the second adventure - an 8-hour let's play for demonstrating isolation playing, using the material to return to NPC characters for the 3rd (and current) adventure.
Somehow, playing self-aware NPCs seems like fun to me. With the reinstated lockdown, I'd give those NZers some love with an Azerim sourcebook.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
I am sure there are a lot of people that like the idea and a lot that don't. This is not even remotely interesting to me, but for those that want it, congratulations. I was really hoping for another book like Xanathar's so it is even more of a disappointment than I think it would normally be.
Oh, I'm 100% sure that we're getting one now. With the statement about giving alternate ability scores to races in a book later this year, I am certain this is the "Xanathar's 2.0" book that I'm waiting for.
Mark my words, it will be announced fairly soon. (Probably by the time this event is over, if not then, within a few months.)
Okay, so, if a few months is fairly soon, you were right.

All hail the great and mighty platypus.
Resisting is simply standing in front of the tide and pushing at it. Even if you endure at first, you will eventually break down. Adapting, by contrast, is turning into a fish.

Rangers are not underpowered. They’re just exploration-oriented.

Also, the newer one, with the gothic lineages and stuff. That’s gotta be Innistrad.
Nah, that's gotta be Ravenloft. They did a M:tG setting last year, they wouldn't do one this soon after that one. WotC also said that there would be 2 books with Vistani in them coming up. One was Tasha's (with Luba's Tarroka Deck), and the next will almost definitely be Ravenloft.

1. They did a MTG setting in 2019, too.
2. They did Curse of Strahd. They don’t make the sourcebook after the adventure.
3. Every year so far, they did a MTG setting, and rebooted the setting with a new set in the card game. This year, they’re rebooting Innistrad and Zendikar. Zendikar is also likely, though.

3. Sure, but that doesn't mean that they're going to do it again this year.
Oh, that makes sense. Thank you.
And they now both seem likely.

The primary reason why I don't think it will be Darksun is because it seems like psionics is still very much a work in progress.
I think (very very very sadly) that they're done with psionics at least for the present moment. They released the Soulknife, Psi Warrior, and the Sorcerer (idek what they called it), and stated that the Mystic was done. I don't see Dark Sun coming at all, but I don't think psionics is still being worked on.
