With respect to the part of the announcement that said they would be revising Curse of Strahd and Tomb of Annihilation, will D&D Beyond update these as well? I assume that means the old text disappears into the ether, or can we switch in between versions? I am not sure what changes this will actually entail, but if they are changing characters that have appeared or anything substantive, it could be disruptive/confusing to an existing campaign.

I am sure there are a lot of people that like the idea and a lot that don't. This is not even remotely interesting to me, but for those that want it, congratulations. I was really hoping for another book like Xanathar's so it is even more of a disappointment than I think it would normally be.

Oh, I'm 100% sure that we're getting one now. With the statement about giving alternate ability scores to races in a book later this year, I am certain this is the "Xanathar's 2.0" book that I'm waiting for.
Mark my words, it will be announced fairly soon. (Probably by the time this event is over, if not then, within a few months.)
