He's joined DnDB. I created the campaign, and sent him the link in email. Everytime he copy and pastes it in, he just keeps getting an internet error that says. "no results found for (my campaign link)" Then it gives a bunch of search tips and suggests he may have spelled it wrong. Others have been able to join, so there must be some setting off somewhere. Does anyone know the work around for this problem?
Thanks guys. I'll have to keep that stuff in mind next time I hit the problem. I signed in with his account on my laptop with another browser and worked around it that way. Which wasn't as easy as it sounds since I had already signed my wife in on that browser and when you log out of DnDB and click sign in its automatically does it. So I had to wipe that browser first.

Just a heads up if you come across that again, just use Incognito mode on the browser. It won't have any of your or their saved credentials allowing you to connect fresh.

So a friend of mine can't join my campaign.

How many people are you trying to add to your campaign? This article mentions only being able to add/share with 12 characters.
He would be the 2nd person 3rd character.
Any mods have an answer? I can't be the only one this has happened too right?
My brother had the same problem joining my campaign. He had to delete all cookies and his browsing history etc. Then log in again and worked.
Have him empty out his cache, close the browser, and try again.

It may be the browser that your friend is using.
Not all browsers will recognise the link as valid and may generate an error without actually trying to resolve the address.
Instead of the link as given. E.g.
ddb.ac/campaigns/join/123456789012345
You could get your friend to try it with the http explicitly added to the front, like so:
