Should the sorcerer receive 2 sorcery points per level and receive the ability to use metamagic only past level 3 starting with 2 but every four levels receiving a new metamagic option.
...no. The way sorcerers are set up right now is the best balance they have, and there's a build designed to take advantage of it as it is (the Coffeelock)

honestly think it just points out how weak sorcerer is that you need to rely on warlock to get some actual bang out of the class. It's not like a fighter NEEDS to dip into rogue for that sneak attack damage or a wizard needs to dip into sorcerer for metamagic. But the sorcerer seriously needs to dip into other things because sorcery points are used for both their resources (metamagic and spell slots) and it's been a bad concept since 5e hit.
Biggest problem I see is they only seem to be trying to address some sorcerer issues in UA and different subclasses while the class like the ranger is in need of a redo, dare I say a 5.5e

Sorcerers should get an ability that replenishes 1/3 of their Sorcery Points on a short rest 1ce/day, and they should get a 5th Metamagic by the end.
Warlocks should be switched to Int casters you specifically put an end to 🐃💩 coffeelocking shenanigans.
