I don't Dice Jail, but I might start doing it just for catharsis.
Do you Dice Jail? If so, how do you do it?
Judge, jury of dice peers, sentencing, prison time, community service, rehabilitation, permanent criminal record?
Treat it like a sports injury and send the afflicted die to the locker room for recovery and put a replacement in the game until the injured die is fit for playing again?
Do you have any kind of special place for your Dice Jail?
If you don't Dice Jail, throw in any creative ideas for Dice Jail that don't involve just tossing dice into the garbage.
Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Hammer. You line up all the other dice and then take a hammer to the bad one to teach the others a lesson. It's surprising how fast those 20's start to show up.
As for non-violent means, they go into my mimic dice bag until such a time another bad dice is found and I swap them out. So the longest the dice stay in the bag is just a few minutes before it is swapped out.
I just keep my bad dice in the dice bag, never to see the light of day again.
However, I knew a game store manager who encouraged people to toss their bad dice on the ledge of a tall display in the store. At the end of the week, he would collect those dice, and resell them.

That sounds hilarious! One man's junk is another man's treasure!
If a dice seems consistently bad I'd do the dice balance test to ensure it wasn't manufactured incorrectly. If it fails test, it is disposed of, if it passes I keep using it and assume the previous performance was luck.
I don't dice jail or throw them away. I have 3 sets of dice that I've been using for a long time. There's no such thing as bad dice or cursed dice or any other superstition people make up. Rolling low is part of the game.
Last session my npc had 3 attacks. Rolled a 1, 2 and 3. Missed all the hits and I'll keep using the dice.
I'm not going to get angry or stop using them for being random. That's why we use them. No fun rolling 17+ all the time. Might as well not play if the deck is stacked.
But I'm the DM so things can't really go 'well' or 'badly' for me. If I were a player I would probably have sentencing guidelines, mandatory minimum sentences, and the like.
But as a DM it's like, meh, OK, the monster missed, who cares?

Never. Only by trusting the dice through it all can you know you can rely on them in your hour of need.

I've done the hammer thing, just show the broken shards to the rest of the herd.
I've also done blow torch. Turn that die into a pile of sludge. Then use it as a Horta model =)

The wizard at 3 hp cares ;-)
Well if the wizard only has 3 hp, I might just "mis read" the die and say it hits anyway so I can kill him off.
MUH-hahahahah (evil DM laugh).
Just kidding.
Kinda.
