Im thinking of purchasing some of the content but I have a few questions. Once I purchase the digital content, am I then able to print it out. Like for instance, I purchase Xanathar's Guide, I would like to let a friend make a character using the new archetypes, can I print one off for him to reference? Can I print the spell list?
I have only seen where I can print my character sheet. Just wondering if I can print any of the other information I purchase. Thanks
Printing content from D&D Beyond should be considered the same as photocopying pages from a hardback book - you can do this for personal use and it's fine.
If you then distribute those copies to others, that is considered in most countries to be illegal.
I suggest the best way to do this is for your friend and you to be in the same location and use a PC/laptop/tablet with your account logged in, to create his character(s).
The Masters Subscription directly addresses this by allowing subscribers to share all of their books with any users who are in a "sharing enabled" campaign with the subscriber.
Thank you for the info, that makes it a little more clear. However it is not always available to sit at a PC together, I guess I will just buy the physical book. Thanks for the info
You can access it there ^ . Character options will be in the character generator and feats, spells, sub-races/races, and classes/sub-classes will be populated for you in their respective listing tools.
