To celebrate the launch of Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn and Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn, we’re running a one-week contest inviting you to make your mark on the Forgotten Realms and write yourself into legend by creating a homebrewed feat worthy of Realms-wide recognition.
Is there a way for us to know when these will get judged? Given I doubt they'll all be getting judged before the deadline
A similar contest for the Hellfire club bundle had the final day for submissions on 10/28 and they are as of yesterday "in the final stages of judging". I would guestimate maybe 3 weeks post-deadline would be a reasonable assumption, so we'll probably hear results mid-December.
Based on the judging criteria, we identify the winners
We contact the winners
Winners verify their country of residence (per the contest rules)
We announce the winners
How long this process takes depends on:
How many submissions we receive (the more submissions, the longer it will take)
How long it takes for us to review all of them (the better the quality of submissions the more challenging it will be to judge; this is a good problem :))
Season (we are nearing the holidays and this will impact timeline)
How timely winners are at responding to us when we reach out to inform them they have won
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. :)
Are we meant to limit ourselves to features currently supported by the homebrew tool?
I don't think we have to make it functional, so most likely no
It doesn't need to be functional within the tool or character sheet. We're looking for creativity and flavor. We are only going to be looking at the Description located in the Basic Information of the feat.
Any reason other countries in the EU are not eligible?
This is the second time I'm stoked for a contest like this, only to see that I can't join, but people in two (three depending on how you view it) neighbouring countries can...

The reason is that the laws and regulations governing contests in certain countries make it legally difficult or impossible to run them. Unfortunately, unless those laws and regulations change, we are limited to certain countries.
Can you clarify what it means to Publish the feat? Do we need to share the feat with the community or do we just need to have created the feat and have the RealmsFeat2025 tag on it in our private feats?

D&D StaffHi, I can clarify this. The contest deadline is a deadline for people to submit entries. It is not a deadline for us to judge or announce winners.
After everyone submits their entries, the process looks like this:
How long this process takes depends on:
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

Oh, it's only for people residing in certain countries. Never mind then.
My humble entry - Lustrous Locks. Some heroes (and villains to be fair) are just too darned glorious for mortal eyes...
