I used this last night with a small group of friends that I am running a new campaign with. I honestly think I was able to look up details far quicker than going through the books. Really love the smooth search-ability.
I am actually curious if you will be staying with cannon details or will you be incorporating a section dedicated to DM's guild info? Also will you create a section that we can post original work (home brew) that we can use on this database with our own games?
Are all official races, subraces, classes, and subclasses going to be posted in the final instead of just the old compendium information?
Yes, additional races and content will be added.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available in the D&D 5th edition SRD and D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.

Homebrew integration has been confirmed for inclusion within the campaign management. :)
Not sure on DM guild, though the devs have mentioned that there will be some pretty cool AL stuff.
I suppose its been considered how this will render on Mobile Devices such as Ipad and smart phones?
Even if the app were nothing more than a POINTER to the Mobile version of this sight it would be great.
Absolutely - in fact it is SO important, that the developers design the layout for mobile first, before standard browser layout!
It's also worth mentioning that one of the purposes of the native app is to allow you offline access (so you're not reliant on WiFi or mobile data plan to use D&D Beyond).
Question... Is this website intended to support all versions of D&D or just 5e? I noticed the new race additions and some of them are not in the latest Players Handbook. If that's the case, I think tagging information according to the version of D&D it's related to would be helpful.

Very happy with what I've seen so far. The familiarity of the layout/order combined with the ease of use from the links to highlighted terms makes it super useful for cross referencing information.
Ah ok... that makes sense. I'm glad to hear that... including previous version, I think would get pretty confusing. But, bring in additional content from other 5e publications well that definitely makes sense! Thanks for clearing that up.
Thanks for this. Had this up on a second screen while playing the other night. My players seemed to like the idea of have the passage where everyone could see it. It allowed for less discussion on meanings, as everyone could see it. Keep up the good work.
This has been so very useful
Loving it so far!
Amazing and very helpful.

We live in an increasingly Online Connected World..****ine Supported/updated Knowledge base is appealing for me
i. Lorebard 6/GOOlock 1 ii. Juggernaut Barbarian 3/Fighter 1 (Deceased) iii. Shepherd Druid 3 iv. Life Cleric 3

Really good point. I was thinking that it would be even faster for me if it was on my Ipad. Less to carry.

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
Just 5th edition at the moment.
Yes - Staff has secretly been adding in the races and stuff from the free Elemental Evil pdf. :)

Now that I have had a little time to skim through the site, I am liking what I see. This helps a lot.
