Your complaint would hold merit if DDB hadn't made it fully known what you were paying for.
My complaint is valid in that I have the freedom to disagree with something. I'm fully aware of what I paid for, and why it was done, and that in the end it was a necessity. That doesn't mean I have to be thrilled about it, or give you the right to be condescending about it like you have been with Mergon, JustCallMeTheMan, Ravenwolf19, and myself.
I just read through my posts. I apologize. I didn't mean to be condescending. I was trying to be concise in some of them and blunt in others. That clearly did not come across. I'm sorry for that.
I didn't mean to imply that you couldn't be upset about it. I thought you were arguing that they shouldn't have done what they did even though they said they were going to. If I misunderstood you I apologize for that as well.
You do and did get what you paid for. You do not need a subscription to view your books. I've never had that problem when I let it lapse from time to time anyways. But the complaints should be thinning out. Look, it was Playtest and DDB has done more than enough to quell the geekdom rage over buying a Playtest supplement. I understand wanting to use some of the Playtest material in your game, hey whatever works, right? But I am glad DDB has addressed this and has tried to make people happy. Even though if it was me, I'd just be rolling in those sweet, sweet Galifars!

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

Any update on adding the playtest Changling back into the system? I was showing a friend how easy it was to create/modify characters , and accidentally "upgraded" to the revised Changling.

I've not heard anything more. Your best bet in the short term is to homebrew it.
For this stuff and other altered/dropped UA could a section in main pages be created called UA Graveyard or something like that and function in the exact same way as the "Critical Role" content selection does? Tab to turn on and off on character creation, as accessible as main content but obviously distinct.
Seems like that would be easy enough to have as a feature just moving things already created on the site to a different tab and then everyone who preffered older/u taken forward versions can still easily use them within DDB like they do or don't the Critical Role Bloodhunter class.

I agree it would be nice, but DDB staff has indicated that removing the UA material once it has been archived ty WOTC is a request (requirement?) from WOTC.

Of course it is possible that there is a "hard" requirement about eliminating that material after the playtest period has concluded, but there is also the possibility that WotC is simply concerned about confusing users with "deprecated" material; in this instance, clearly labeling the material and putting it behind a switch that by default is off might be workable.

TheBatch - That's an issue with homebrew subraces that the team is aware of. It's annoying for sure, and as soon as we have an update on a fix for it we will let everyone know!
Any idea why this doesn't have a fix yet? It seems like something obvious we should have.
LIkely because there are other tasks of a higher priority. Homebrew tools are usually lower down the priority lists due to not being core site functionality, compared to say new book or UA releases or the encounter builder
I don't see any of the subclasses from wayfinders and was wondering if this badeye had already made Homebrew replacements of these
Artificer: Forge Adept
Artificer: Maverick B
College of the Dirge Singer
Cleric: The Mind Domain D
Circle of the Forged
Monk: Way of the Living Weapon
These subclasses aren't from Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, but the third party, unofficial* supplement Exploring Eberron. As such, you won't find these on D&D Beyond, either as official releases or as public homebrew due to it being against the homebrew terms of use to make publicly available content owned by other parties. You are welcome to add them using the homebrew tools for personal use only.
*Unofficial as in not released by Wizards of the Coast. However it is written by the creator of Eberron himself, Keith Baker.
Sadly, many of these new subclasses - the Maverick artificer and Living Weapon monk, especially - are difficult to impossible to properly implement in DDB's current homebrew system. Crying shame, given how utterly cool some of these are and how high quality the book is overall.
I bought Exploring Eberron. I just have had a chance to implement them (or try to anyways) in Homebrew. I'll have to take a look and see what others have tried and maybe shared,

If others have publicly shared their homebrew versions they would be doing so illegally and should be reported. Keeping them as private is the only option.

uhhhh... I homebrewed Living Weapon monk just fine with the current system. I will concede Maverick, Dirge Singer (since it messes with Bardic Inspiration progression), and Forge Adept are hard if not impossible.

Why you shouldn't start ANOTHER thread about DDB not giving away free redeems on your hardcopy book purchases.
Thinking of starting ANOTHER thread asking why Epic Boons haven't been implemented? Read this first to learn why you shouldn't!
