"Hmm?" Faen turns her attention from the green flame to the flowers.
"Oh! For me? Thank you very much, Thokk." She carefully takes the flowers from him and admires them for a second, before returning her attention to the flames.
"Um Thokk do you see anything strange with the temple?"
When Thokk hands over the flowers, the buzzing that Faen hears intensifies. Everyone can clearly hear it now. It seems to be coming from the tree tops. A group of birds scatter from the branches and flee. The calm breeze becomes a forceful gale, and the shadows of the forest seem to shift. Something large emerges; it moves fast. In a blur, the creature seems to appear out of nowhere behind them. The creature is mantis-like with a greenish exoskeleton. It has thin wings on its back that emit a droning buzz. Its front appendages are a pair of sharp scythe-like arms. The wings of the giant mantis twitch slightly, then it leaps forward to strike at Dmitrei with its bladed arm. Fortunately for the druid, the arm-blade is unable to pierce the leather armor he crafted himself.

Seeing the beast go down the first thing Dmitrei does is let out a sigh of relief.
"These must be the Mantis creatures Lore told us of earlier. Let's be careful not to run into a horde of these guys."
Interested in the beast that he has never seen Dmitrei will begin to expect it a little to see what he can learn/deduce about it from what he has seen it do.

"There are many bugs that can be eaten raw, or cooked. Beggars can never be choosers." Thokk says giving a small lecture but his face begins to go a bit greener than usual, "I think this beggard just chose wrong though." He rushes into the bushes to puke his stomach out. He washes his face in the pond.
"I'm sorry I scared you Faen." He says sheepishly, he then turns to the rest of the group, "What next."
“First, Thokk are you okay. You took that slash there. Second we need to find a way inside. I found this Druidic symobol with the word Teleya. However, I don’t know what that means.”
"Its not that Thokk. I mean- I'm no stranger to foraging, I used to collect mushrooms in the swamp, but. Well. Even I knew to make sure they weren't poisonous before chowing down on them. Do you feel okay?"
The fight is brief and Jinx ends the mantis with a heavy blow from her Maul. Some parts of the mantis lie in shattered ice fragments, other parts, like the one Thokk tasted drip a greenish-yellow goo. Dmitrei isn't particularly familiar with a creature such as this. It simply appears to be a giant insect that can fly.
The pool that Faen and Thokk are standing by ripples from the constant stream of water that drips from the tree hollow high above. The pool is clean and clear, a bed of stones scatters across the bottom and some very small fish glide around beneath the glassy surface.
Jinx moves close enough to the temple entrance. She sees that there is no door, only a doorway through which lies a path leading downward into the earth. The place below looks dark and maybe a little cramped, the passages look thin. However, before the group progresses a quiet, and soft voice speaks. "Hello? Is someone there?" the voice comes from the stump where Dmitrei saw the druidic symbol. From underneath one of the mushrooms, a tiny creature emerges. She has the appearance of an elf, but with a pair of green butterfly wings on her back. Only a few inches tall, she yawns, stretches, and rubs her eyes as if she'd just awoken. "Must've dozed off... I thought I heard my name thou-" She looks around and sees the group and jumps back a little startled, her green wings flutter and lift her into the air back toward her stump. "Oh, my! Who are you?" she asks.
"Oh how curious!" Faen's eyes grow wide and she rushes over to the small creature to examine her. Kneeling down to get a better look.
"My name is Faen. Who are you? What are are you? Are these wings real? Can you fly? Look at how little you are!" She says giddily, attempting to poke to small wings.
"Faen be careful," Jinx calls out remembering stories of the fey creatures aboard in the world all weren't happy endings. "Dmitrie could this be the sage," she whispers to the druid.

Dmitrei responds to Jinx in Dewarvish “But then why didn’t Gridori choose me.”
He’ll then turn to the Pixie(?) and respond to her in Druidic “My name is Dmitrei and these are my companions Thokk, Jinx, and Faen. We are the new Guardians. We are looking for entrance into the temple of Gridori in order to seek wisdom from the sage and any power he has to offer in order to repel the shadow once again. Can you help us?”
She responds in common first to Faen. "My name is Teleya. I'm a pixie." Teleya's shyness dims and she floats closer. She then looks around the grove and to herself mumbles quietly, "I thought Drywhel said my name... but now I don't see him."
When Dmitrei reveals the party to be guardians, she gives a tiny gasp and then smiles big. "Oh, my. Guardians? It's my honor!" she curtsies. "Well, the entrance is just there." She points a tiny finger past Jinx toward the tree hollow. You all see a small green light begin to glow from inside. In fact all of the small stone lanterns are now glowing bright green. "Drywhel said that the sage has been rather sleepy lately though. I'm worried you might not be able to speak with Gridori. Still, I can take you down into the prayer chamber--if you'd like."
