Seeing the elven woman being slightly uncomfortable Magron says "Sorry for the sudden introduction, but me and my newly found companion are eager to go on new adventures/work/earn some money; whatever you would like to call it. Past experience tells me that in order to get the most out of these kind of things would be to have a slightly larger group of people. So we were looking around to see if anybody else looked like they were looking for a similar opportunity. Than we received your note, so we thought it was good to have some words with you"

"It's completely fine, actually it's the other way around, I'm supposed to expect both of you here"- Maerwyn dismisses the uncomfort with a glimpse of genuine smile mirroring the gentleman sitting before her, also a bit impressed by the man's generosity towards her.

"I was unsure of the fact that the note had succeeded to reach you, but so far so good! I am indeed inquisitive about the man with the blindfold, it's more like a passive feeling that he might be able to offer us what we need now, in this case it certainly is some kind of chore or quest"- the last part of the comment is accompanied by vocal hoarseness. The elf woman has been thirsty and till now she hasn't realized that. With a dry cough she quizzes him, "Did I forget to mention something else?".

"You mean that you were supposed to mention that hearing without ears is hard? Or maybe your name?" Magron says acknowledging he read the full note, bit not specifying to much. "Shall we have a chat with him? Although; how should we start that conversation?"

"I'm Maerwyn Mindbender, and it's my pleasure to meet both of you!"- she states her name with a tone of uncertainty that might be revealed under close inspection. In fact, she's been reluctant to reveal the part of her name that matters a lot to her. "Let me initiate the conversation this time"- she says with a quick nod, then proceeds to address the waitress. "Hello?"- she will call out if she finds out the waitress somewhere adjacent.

Grom decided that observation has reached its limit and rose from his table, grabbed his staff and walked over to the mysterious figure. He didn't bother to hide or look inconspicuous or lower his voice as he addressed the stranger.

"Greetings! I am Grom, and I am here to find powerful allies to join me in the defense of this realm. Might you be one such? What is your name?"

By the word 'companions' she has meant the presence of Magron and Dusk and the final one has been the man with a blindfold. In fact, the offer has been made by her unilaterally without prior agreement, since that's out now Magron and Dusk can not help paying the bill. The idea amuses her and she expresses the amusement with a cheesy smile.

With a gesture to come closer, she whispers, "We're here for a quest and we think that he might be able to provide us with one".

Dusk cannot help but find this Maerwyn rather curious. She expected them? Did she expected them specifically, or just those like them - what some may colloquially call 'adventurers'? And now she offers his coin without his consult, but towards their shared interest. Fascinating.

Dusk takes out five gold coins and hands them to the waitress without saying a word. That's him down to 15 gold now. He'd have to start into the platinum soon, at this rate. He came here to make coin not spend it all so frivolously. He puts his pouch away with an audible sigh.

He eyes the blindfolded man, who now converses with a man in half-plate with shield and staff. Mage? It is considerably uncommon to find a mage in armour, but possible. And it's not uncommon for some warriors to prefer staff over blade. Things are getting more and more curious, it seems.

He stands to await Maerwyn, who had mentioned she would make the introductions.

The waitress talks to the person wearing the cloak. The one wearing the cloak walks toward you and says, "What are you waiting for?"

Maerwyn will make a gesture for Dusk and Magron to proceed and describe their wish, while she sits silently and tries to finish her drink with quick sips.

Magron is a bit flabbergasted by Maerwyn her way of getting the person's interest, but gets to his senses quickly when the person comes walking.

"Excuse my new found companion for the brisk way of getting your attention, but we couldn't help but notice your, ehm how do I say this....

lack of ears, and sight, I guess.

So we were wondering what kind of senses you possess to be able to hear us?"

"Hmm," Dusk cocks his head to the side as he mind contemplates the 'sense' this blindfolded man speaks of. "Is this sense still based in sound, like a tremorsense or some echolocative properties? If not, would it be more of a psionic thing? What of you sight?" He pauses a moment and rights his head, "Oh, my apologies. I did not mean to assail you with so many questions. It's interesting but also tangential. I am Dusk, this is Magron and Maerwyn," he gestures to the dwarf and elf respectively. "We had some curiosity about you. We're looking for work - something substantial, worthy of our talents and something that can weight our purses. So far all I can find is checking the basement of this establishment. We wonder if you -" Dusk looks past the blindfolded man to the man in half-plate he was seen talking to before, "- or your acquaintance, had something more appealing?"

 "There have been a few rumors about illithids roaming in this city. I'm afraid it isn't just a rumor. You could investigate. I can pay a fairly large amount of gold."
