Just as you turn to head back to your group the flames brighten just a bit and a pair of tiny eyes appear and blink a few times before the flame returns to its usual flickering.
Eve’s eyes go wide, and she beams a huge smile, as she imagines for a second that she can see blinking eyes in the fire.
She’s barely able to contain herself, but manages to say, in an excited whisper, “Ipkiss?!! Oh Ipkiss!... haha!... I’m going away. I don’t know for how long... If you can, try and follow me... or find me?!... ...I’ll watch for signs in the flames, or the shadows... ...”.
With a contented sigh she stands up from her place in front of the fire to rejoin the party.
Maudath enters the tavern behind the others, ducking his head to get through the doorway. Once he sees which table the group has headed to, Maudath makes his way to the bar, looking for Scramsax, the owner of the Northlook.
If he's not around, Maudath will ask whomever is tending bar where he is.

Iris follows the others to their table of choice and shrugs off her cloak and gloves once more, folding them over the back of her chair. She glances around for anyone she might recognize, greeting them with a small smile and nod if she does. When Eve leaves the party she can’t help but try to visually track the other tiefling through the crowd...

Iris watches Eve sit down by the fireplace, and she swears she sees her lips moving, though there’s nobody nearby to talk to. She adds it to her list of oddities to bring up later...
As Eve returns, she realises the chair she put her stuff on is now right next to where Iris is sat. She stops in her tracks for just a fraction of a second but then continues on, back to her seat with the others, and sits politely next to Iris. She flashes her fellow tiefling a quick smile but then spins her head this way and that looking around for Maudath.
Ryhunis was in deep thought, without saying a word due to both beeing lost in her mind and to not cause confusion due to her appearence But then she spoke, just loud enough for the whole table to hear but not more "Do people that eat lizards consider a lizzardman a family sized buffet?" she returned to her deep thought "What if a lizzardman eats a normal lizzard, is that canibalism? "Ohh and on what are we wasting our bre.... time here?" she put her hand on her head "I hate waiting"
"In the strictest terms, cannibalism is consuming a member of the same species, so if I ventured too near his plate and Maudath were to scoop me up by accident, it wouldn't be cannibalism. There's an argument to be had when it comes to the races that can freely interbreed, a case could be made that an elf eating a human may be cannibalism."

"Well i agree on the first part and on way on the second too, but given the similarities of Lizardfolk and lizards, even with the name, couldn´t we be sure that there is some, relation between them? For example and correct me if I am wrong my sources weren´t exactly the best"said Ryhunis while showing some more intress now, she liked to have some wierder yet "important" as she considered them talks "well they were a bunch of slaves but i tortured them well I am pretty sure I am right on this one" she thought to herself "They came from, what was it again? Elves yeah! I don´t remenber wich ones but it was one of them, if Drow eats an elf, any kind of elf, is that considered cannibalism?" she put her hands on her head"I can´t belive we are talking about this, well beeing basicly immortal guess one day I will find the answer"
"Adventurers, that lot," Maudath says with a nod to the party. "Ale and wine for everyone."
Then he pauses, watching Ryhunis.
"Yeah, let's stick with ale and wine. And if there's anything edible back in that kitchen, I wouldn't say no to a decent sized portion."
Turning back to the bar, he takes in the other patrons in the room.
"Say, Scamsax. Any of those dwarves about from the other night? You know the ones who misplaced their iron and were making up stories about yeti's stealing it."
"Sure we've got some stew prepared up in the back." Scramsax yells back to one of the workers to fetch 4 bowls of stew. "And a round of ale. You're asking about Hruna eh? Shame what happened, Yeti's can be quite nasty. They are staying upstairs, gave em a room.." he leans in close "Charge em extra for not prepaying." He lets out a deep belly laugh. "They are bound to be down 'fore much longer. Stick around and you can't miss em. " Scramsax gives you a hearty slap on the shoulder before moving on to other patrons.
Iris smiles and nods as Maudath returns. "That's good. Have you met them before, or just heard rumors? Do you know if they're seeking help with their problem, or are they more the type to figure things out themselves?"
"Do you see a mouth? Or are you doing that on purpose? Be wary of your words" she said very seriusly "I swear if he is joking with me those will be his last words, I don´t even care about my path of redemption, No, now that i think well about it, self pride is a virtue that many good people have thus i have to defend it!" she thought to herself
"It may have been the ale talking last night, and there was lots of both," Maudath says as he looks over to the bar to see where the food and ale are, "but they were talking about finding some hired help to go out and retrieve their cargo."
He turns back to Iris and smiles.
"Something about a yeti killing or eating or doing something a tad unpleasant to one of them, probably has them more inclined to part with a couple of coins to pay someone else to take the risk."
"Too many other things out there to be wary of," Maudath says to Ryhunis. "If I start worrying about words too I'm likely to end up with one of those other things stuck in my gut. And good ole Iris here said she was sick of stitching me back together again."
Then he laughs at the implied threat Ryhunis has just made.
"Besides, there are all sorts of weird and wonderful things out there. There was this wizard, at least he called himself a wizard, think he was likely more of a confidence man than anything, but that's not really the point. Anyway, there was this wizard who used to be on the same circuit as my family. Hitting the same festivals and such. He had this reinforced case. And in it he had this wee block of goo. Called it a gelatinous cube. Now I never once saw a mouth on that thing, but you stick a chicken in that case, and it didn't come back out. So maybe there's more than one way to eat and drink something."
When Eve sits back down and rejoins the group, Maudath is heading back from the bar and Ryhunis is talking about lizards and lizard folk with the professor. This is what she’s missed. Being part of a team again. And this one promises to be more interesting than most!
Then Ryhunis and Maudath clash about eating methods. Eve buts in with, “I’m starving now, what with all this talk of eating!... Where’s the food, Maudath? What have they got?... ...I hope it’s the stew! Their stew here is in-credible!”. She pulls her feet up and kneels on the chair, craning her neck over the crowd to see if food is on its way.
"That´s it I am leaving, I haven´t eaten in almost 200 years, even though I wish I could, I am beyond starving and thirsty but i can´t, because i am a daam golem, and i won´t sit here watching while you do it, I will go... Do we even have a room or something I can rest? And no I am NOT a block of goo, obviusly!" When she entered the inn she tried to look as less humane as possible but she was too angry to even bother doing that, it wasn´t even angry at Maudath, besides him comparing her to a block of goo, she just missed her old life

"The dwarves are upstairs, but Scramsax thinks they'll be down soon."
He looks around the tavern main room.

"Remember what happened in Targos? We don't want a repeat of that, do we? If you wish to leave, I'll come with you, just let me grab my coat."
