"Yes! Glad you are enjoying it... as for sightings, I was hoping perhaps one of you came across something in your travels that might give us a lead to pursue..."
((Anything the Professor may have heard people say about Eve, he's aware that he's been called similar, so he doesn't put much stock in rumors others push. He's found her to be an enthusiastic and competent young woman, whatever her quirks.))
Any of you that have spent some time with Eve will recall the odd word or phrase coming from the young Tiefling, almost as if she is having a conversation with someone.
Eve spins around at Iris’s voice behind her “Oh!!No no no no no no....”. She mutters and takes a big step back into the wall. She holds her hands up defensively and shrinks back against the wall. “Stay!... oh.....”. She looks left and right for a way out...
((Likewise, the Professor is prone to muttering to himself, particularly if he's calculating something or thinking through possible applications or ideas, so doesn't find that unusual in Eve.))
There's not a lot of room for big steps, Eve likely backs up against a stack of books or a crate covered in clutter...

Iris instinctively raises her hands in defense and takes a step away from Eve."Okay."The word is blurted out, and sounds much more afraid than she intended. "Okay," she tries again, this time with her practiced calm tone. "I'm not going anywhere. Neither are you. We are both here, and we are both safe." She takes a deep breath, then asks, "Do you need anything?"
Maudath watches the chaotic activity set in motion by Ryhunis's arrival, swirling around the room about ready to turn into a tempest. He lets go of the hilt of his sword, cocks his head to take all of Ryhunis in then shrugs.
With most of the attention elsewhere, he helps himself to another pastry, and at the Professor's offer of more tea, he holds out his cup.
"Deep breath, Eve," Maudath says, speaking around pieces of pastry. "Deep breath. And have something to eat. Nothing settles the nerves like a full stomach."
He knocks back the second cup of tea in one gulp, then looks back over at the Professor.
"I've never seen one of these elemental fairy things but they sound alright. What do we do? Just go sit in the woods and attract their attention? Don't think that should be too hard," he says with a nod to Ryhunis and Eve.
"Now if we're heading out of town, we might want to have a little chit chat with some dwarves I heard about. Seems they misplaced a shipment of iron ingots and they need someone to go bring it back for them." Maudath says. "Might have heard something about a yeti too, but you know people, always prone to exaggeration. If the iron was in the same direction as these little elementals we might be able to do both jobs at once."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Couldn't beat that deception even with a nat 20 insight, but here goes anyways: 21)
Still seeming a bit confused, but willing to accept the explanation, Iris backs away further. Before returning her attention to the rest of the group though, she says quietly to Eve,"Just... let me know if you do need help with anything, okay? A friend of the Professor's and Maudath's is a friend of mine, and they can vouch that I take care of my friends." Offering her one last quick smile, she refocuses on what Maudath is saying.
"A few folks in Bremen were telling me about a lake monster capsizing boats. Again, I don't think it's the same thing, but I was planning to check it out, and if we're all headed that direction it might be nice to have some backup. I don't know if it's an issue to be solved with a conversation or a blade."
"Great another candidate for the crazy of the year. Well now that wouldn´t be a bad thing, the winner would rule a town and i would see how bad it would be, oohh that would be hilariou.. no Ry you are not bad you are good now. Still she is hiding something, and that other guy the professor better control his leash" she looked to the agitated goliath "I swear i saw someone like him long ago, uuuhh yeah i remenber now! Toram he was a goliath too, aahh it makes sense, bad guy, he was cool"
"So you want to catch some crickets? Is there I don´t know pattern to their beheavior? Do they go after some specific objects or specific types of people? Now that it was said outloud the biggest problem is just catching them, making them willing participants will be.... quite easy"
"aahh good times where all the problems could be solved by fire, I miss my sweet magic" she then decided to remenber the times when things were easier and happier
Maudath pours himself another cup of the strong tea, and looks around for a chair that could support his weight. Deciding that everything is likely used to the weight of a gnome, he remains standing.
"I've generally found the surest way to get someone to do what you want them to do is to convince them you don't want them to do it," Maudath says. "You'd be surprised how many a wealthy investor is willing to hand over their gold once you convince them the opportunity isn't right for them and you don't want their coins."
He finishes his tea, puts down the cup and claps his big hands together, the sound echoing around the room.
"Now, where do we start?" he asks. "If we know where these wee things live, we can dig into these other jobs and see if they're in the same direction or not."
Ryhunis starts leaving the golem as max as she could(only from the waist up) revealing a green translucent woman with a small glow, long hair and using a dress that covered her torso up to her neck with a hood behind while leaving her arms exposed revealing tatoos(she drew those to increase her power) with another line drawn on her right eye like on the golem
"It´s because you are that passive that you will never get a wife" She smirks while trying to cross her arms, forgetting that since she was a spirit she couldn´t actually touch anything, making her arms fading for a moment
"Compliance is more of a... subjective matter rather then an adjective one. But let´s not go in to philosophies here, so we catch them and deliver them, what then? We just get the reward and move on? Doesn´t seem like a 4.5 person job if you ask me" she loved doing these comments about the professor´s height "The other thiefling, Iris, was that her name? hhhmm... she seems more normal, wich means she is either the most boring one or the most interesting, hhhmmm I am quite curious to find out"
"Oh, it's alright Ryhunis, dear, I consider you a full member of this expedition, no matter your quasi-corporeal status."
"As far as finding them, she entrusted me with this device, and it's always possible that some of them got intrigued by folks moving through the wilds, but she's already scoured Bryn Shander and come up empty.", he hops down and holds up the lantern he'd been given to detect their presence.

Eve puts her tea down as the professor suggested, and sits down, cross-legged, on the floor where she stood in the doorway.
She listens to the others debating strategy and directions. But after a little while, she raises her hands a couple of inches off her lap looking at her palms again.
She silently casts minor illusion, and conjures up another set of hands over her own. They are static and false. And they don’t move when she wiggles her fingers, but if she stays very still they could be her hands.
These hands are pale blue, with beautiful smooth skin, and neat, tidy nails.
She smiles for a second, then her face breaks like she might cry, and then she smiles again... and the illusion fades.
((She tries to do all this quietly and privately sitting down low in her corner while the party is planning. Sleight of hand check: 22 (most passives would beat this).))
This takes all of maybe a few seconds, or anything up to maybe a brief moment. Then she looks up again and tries to catch back up with the discussion.
((OOC: oh!... haven’t seen the ‘manipulated rolls’ flag in a while! The roll was a 6 from the start))
As Iris is moving back to her seat, she glances over curiously to where Eve is making the unmistakable hand motions of a spell. Moments later, Eve's hands shimmer and shift into a reflection of her own. Confusion only growing, she resolves to ask about it later, and turns to face the main conversation. "It sounds like our best course of action is to head towards one of these other jobs and use the lantern periodically along the way. If we encounter the creatures, great, if not, we might have to broaden our search."
Eve stands and chips in “I will need a tent I think, if we will be going far!... I can maybe grab one in town. Aside from that I think I’m all set!”. She beams a huge smile, raring to go.
You Maudath remember the dwarves saying they were within a hour or so of Bryn Shander when they were attacked. You could probably talk to them to get a better idea.
Iris, the trouble you heard about was in Bremen, which is about 2-3 hours on foot from Bryn Shander
Eve, Caer Konig was were you happen to be when you heard people complaining about those damn dwarves stealing things. It is about 10 or so hours to there on foot from Bryn Shander.
"Yes! Glad you are enjoying it... as for sightings, I was hoping perhaps one of you came across something in your travels that might give us a lead to pursue..."
