Nimblefinger: At first the captain doesn't notice you. He's quite focused on steering the ship and can't hear you very well over the wind and thunder. "Oh, I didn't see you there. Excitement sure is exciting, but tonights encounter was a bit too exciting for my taste. I wouldn't want any of my passengers getting hurt, but you all seem capable of defending yourselves. Traveling the great seas is a dangerous proffesion, but things like these seem to happen more often around these parts. Fortunately, we should arrive at Clebluff in the morning. If you look closely you can already glimpse the mountains in the far east. Apart from you, my cargo is moslty exotic wares like silk, spices and herbs. I dont know any merchants in Clebluff. Our final destination is Stihill, we will continue along the Undel river once we have gotten some repairs."
You wake up the next morning after a long rest. You are served the normal breakfast: fish stew. Hopefully for the last time; today it tastes even worse than usual. When you eventually get on deck you realise that you are no longer sailing a stormy ocean, but peacefully drifting on a river with docks and houses on both sides. Captain Ursog is still standing at the weel. He seems tired after the night's sail trip, but also a bit more sobered up. He looks up at you and smiles. "Goodmorning, and welcome to Clebluff! We have finally arrived. I have to thank you for what you did last night. If it weren't for you, me and my crew would be sleeping with the fishes. I think the people of the Dominion could use some brave adventurers like you, these are troublesome times after all...
"Troubled time ye say?" Rhenwi Enaid asks, looking at the Captain. "What can ye tell us of these times? And do ye know much of this place," he makes a sweeping gesture with his left hand, taking in Clebluff and its surrounds, "Who's the master and all of this realm?"
Rhenwi: "Well, last time I was here I heard a rumor of some hideous beast lurking around the Woeful hills.... But that was some time ago. The Council of Steel have probably dealt with that by now. They are a company of elder knights, who settled here a long time ago. They rule under the new duchess, Rotrud Herey. The poor girl's father, Heribert Herey, died a few years ago. Since she's so young it has been agreed that the council will hold a share of the power. The Dominion of Hargalar has been ruled by the Herey family for as long as anyone can remember, the halflings are said to have been the founders of this land."
"Was there a bounty on this beast or someone would see about it's status as a danger? Is there place for adventurers such as ourselves to hear about jobs?" Grimm questions as he looks out for land.

"If you're looking for work, The Bloody Arrow would be a good place to start."
After sailing through the town, the ship finally docks around the eastern outskirts. The captain sighs. "Well... off you go, adventurers." He seems a bit sad.
While Grimm and the others are talking with the Captain, Nimblefinger seeks out those who would really know where to go in this new city, the crew. Bustling around underfoot as the crew readies to dock the ship, Nimble asks several "Where is the best place to get a drink or a room to in this town?" all the while keeping a sharp lookout for any small pieces of valuable cargo that may be able to go 'missing' during the offloading process.
"Much obliged for the ride, Captain," Rhenwi Enaid nods to the Captain as he disembarks. "Can't say much for the entertainment though, maybe next time dancing eels?" It seems a bit odd, the playful tone in half-elf's voice, almost as if someone else was speaking. Those that look to closely might be forgiven if they thought that the medallion round his neck appeared to writhe a twist a bit. With his quarterstaff over his left shoulder the Warlock stides down the gangplank and heads into town, calling over his shoulder, "The Bloody Arrow, ye say?"

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Nimblefinger: While the others are talking, you are able to find: 34 silver pieces, a spool of green string, a bottle of wine, a candle stick, a small keg that smells of fish, and a locket containing a miniature portrait. If you want to take anything, make a Sleight of Hand check. You are told to go to The Bloody Arrow if you're looking for a drink or a room.
Glancing around to make sure no one is paying attention, Nimblefinger grabs a handful of silver and slides it into his pocket.

He waves and gives a hearty good-bye to the crew, shoulders his pack, and heads down the gang-plank and off to The Bloody Arrow, looking for fortune and adventure in this new land, and maybe a drink.
Betting the ship captain and crew goodbye, Grimm takes their advice and I assume direction to this Bloody Arrow.

As you get off the ship, you notice a boy and a woman standing a few feet away. The boy is crying and the woman looking into the distance, towards the forest in the south. You hear the boy say: "When is father coming home? I wan't to see the show!" The mother responds: "I don't know William, they should have been here a week ago... The posters where blown away by the storm, we'll have to put up new ones." The woman hands her son a small bundle of parchment. He scampers away, having new things to think about. The woman sighs. "That should distract him for a while." She says to herself, not having noticed you yet.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Spotting the woman at the docks with a child in obvious distress, Nimble changes direction and approaches the woman as the child runs off. He is always on the look for an easy score. “Pardon me, my lady, I don’t mean to interrupt, but I was on my way to the Bloody Arrow and did I happen to overhear something about a show? Are you waiting on someone? I myself am a performer of some renown from across the Sea of Fallen Stars and am always on the lookout for opportunities” The gnome stands before her dressed in fine, embroidered clothes and gives an exaggerated bow. “Eldon Turen at your service.”

The woman turns to you. "Oh... I didn't see you there. My name is Cecil Magrod. My husband, Stravick Magrod, William's father, owns a circus. Every summer they go on a tour to the rich cities in the south. But when the first autumn leaves fall, they always return to Clebluff to put on a last show for our people. Now the streets are covered with leaves, but the circus is nowhere to be seen. I think i know what might have happened, but I hope I am wrong...
Nimblefinger: As the woman passes the posters to her son you catch a glipse of some text: "Stravick's Extraordinary Circus, coming to town! Get your tickets now!" You get the impression that Cecil is genuinly worried for her husband. As you are talking you discretely count up to 34 silver pieces that slipped into your pocket.
Williwaw: The boy looks at you in amazement, not even realising that the posters are falling out of his hands. "Are you a real fairy?" Make a charisma check with advantage.
"I'm a lot of things, but that is one of them, you're dropping all of your fliers, that is one thing you are, but I can't help but being a thing that gets things" she uses a bit of her monastic know-how to try and catch the forlorn fliers
