"Hm. I suppose I am blessed. I think that'd be fitting. I expected it to come from the language of the fairies since you proposed it, but the meaning matters more than the origin." The one now named Bethany gives a nod, and a gentle smile. This conversation was still confusing, but it seemed all the problems were settled. "I think I am now prepared to leave."

"How far is it to the Bevinge forest?" Rhenwi Enaid asks the woman. "And is there anything else you can tell us that? Remember, the smallest detail can mean the difference in life or death for your husband so, hold back at his peril," he sounds very grim. 16 Intimidation - I could not think of any other 'skill' that might convey a heavy grimness.
Looking up to the others, after she has responded, he continues, "If the rest of you who are assisting in this endeavor are ready, our path is to the southeast."
"The forest isn't far, you'll be there in an hour or so... Of course I understand that this is a serious matter, however l can't think of anything else worth telling you."
As soon as Grimm has restocked on bolts, you set out on your quest. After walking along the Gehill road for a while, the vegetation grows thicker, and before you know it you are surrounded by high trees. The Bevinge woods are dark and gloomy, only a few rays of sunlight get through the branches here and there. It's dead quiet, except for the ominous cawing of the crows.
"This is very errie," Grimm states as he rotates his hand crossbow's aim around at the various trees in case something jumps out at them, "Any of you can send a scouting thing ahead?" Grimm keeps an eye aropund their surround as they move.

Bethany, the firbolg, just softly smiles hearing Scales's melody. "Is that about me? How sweet. Most songs I heard talked about the world, not the people." Though that moment distracts her, she looks back towards their path with a renewed sense of focus, as she attempts to take note of anything up ahead.

Regardless of what she sees, Bethany gives Scales a tap on the back to return the favor. "Be vigilant, my dear. We need your attention, too." Scales receives a Vigilant Blessing. (Advantage on the next initiative roll.)
Nimble was moving along carefree, happy to be back in the woods after a long voyage at sea, no matter how eerie the forest seemed at first. When he noticed the Firbolg's warning about something approaching the group, he quickly moved to hide in the undergrowth next to the road, hoping to fade away from sight while remaining close to the party.
"Pay attention, no one in waggons have been down this road in a long time," Rhenwi Enaid tells the group.
(If Bethany give points out the noise, then he'll spin to face the source and start backing up to give himself room to maneuver, bringing up his crossbow as he does.)
"Keep your eyes open for traces of the circus folk."

Bethany does point out what she hears and sees while being quite calm. "There's some moving thing up ahead. I can, in fact, see the bushes swaying, so they might be too close to not have noticed us," she whispers, believing that, though the people hiding likely knew about their presence, the party could fake ignorance of their presence for a little longer to prepare, which is what she does when she pulls out her shield.
A small humanoid comes crashing out of the bushes, he trips on a root and tumbles onto the road. The humanoid gets up and turns to you. He is a slender halfling in an oversized threnchcoat. He has a rope tied around his left wrist. His tousled hair is full of twigs and leaves, and his face is red and sweaty. He looks at you desperately with panicked eyes and says: "You must save me, please! I am hunted by brutish thugs!"
Rhenwi Enaid looks askance at the creature before him, "Brutish thugs? Where? And who are you?" He does keep his crossbow pointed in the general direction from whence the hafling came.

You see more movement in the bushes 30 ft away. These individuals seem larger but also a bit slower, having trouble moving in the thick vegetation. One of them says: "Your'e dead, little halfling! Boss wanted you alive, but I'm tired of tying you up over and over again!"

Bethany is clearly not on the same level of concern as the others since the halfling receives a calm smile from her. "Do not fret, if it's protection you seek, we are more than ready to offer-..."
She is cut short by even more people appearing. That makes her break the smile, but she remains serene, giving a serious look to the new group. "Very well, then..."
"Settled then, Bethany... I think it means 'birthplace' or 'blessed one' in some forgotten human tongue"

Rhenwi: You notice that the road is free from wheel tracks. It seems like no one has traveled this road for a while.
Bethany: You hear the sound of sticks snapping, and you see bushes swaying. Someone or something from the forest is coming your way.
