Stumbling through the darkness to reach the apparent location of the cupboard with the Flute in, you trip over something on the ground. You put your hand out to brace yourself against the ground and it lands in a warm moist puddle. You thrash over another creature that appears to be Goblin laying limp on the ground. You are able to scramble up to your legs again, your hand sliding across furniture due to the slimy liquid unable to grip anything firmly.
The cupboard is untouched as fair as you can tell and you are able to find the hidden compartment easily, scoop up the flute and turn to the door.
At this point, the darkness dissipates and you are able to make out the hut as you would using your darkvision. Scanning the room quickly, you instantly recognise the lifeless body of your tribal chief, with one of his arms hacked off, his neck pierced and his neck bleeding profusely. Your hands are black and sticky, obviously goblin blood, which you have smeared over the cupboard when you attempted to stand up.
Ahead of you, you can see the approach of torches and the chatter of goblin voices getting closer. One voice booms out that you recognise to be that of the Tribal Hero, known as Skrag. Yet, his voice sounds oddly cold, and lifeless.
"Skreek. Come out of the Tribal hut"

You make your way out slowly, with trepidation, readying yourself to move quickly should the need arise. You are greeted by the fully armed tribal war party, with Skrag at the front. The front members have their spears in hand, the warriors further back have arrows nocked, though not aimed. “Skreek...the Chief. Where...is the...Chief?” Skrag’s voice, usually forceful and intense, seems to lack his usual conviction. One warrior points to your hand.
”Blood! What has happened here?!”

There were hooded figures, not goblins. they heades to the chiefs house and i followed. I was to late, they killed him. A spell clouded my vision at first and i could not see the body. Thats why im covered in blood. Skreek is super nervous and scared
The War party in front of you turns to Skrag. It is obvious that with him being of the Lasher caste, the most accomplished warrior, and the most senior of goblins present, that the party will defer to him. He seems to stand rather motionless as you make your statement, eyes slightly glazed and a rather stiff posture. It is quite jarring to see him act in such a way.

Some of the Goblins looks quite satisfied with your answer. They start to move towards the hut and start to call out to the Chief. However, again in a rather dead voice, Skrag rasps, while raising his short sword.
"No, he has the Flute, he covets it and will steal it from the tribe. Kil -"
As Skrag makes the command, Grobrog, the towering Bugbear that leads all the Village warriors bounds up behind them, brandishing a war club.
"What is this! Intruders in the village and you are not looking for them?! Spread out! Or I'll rip out your gizzards and feed them to the pigs!"
At the threat of disembowelment, the goblins scatter, running in all directions as fast as their squat legs can carry them. Voices and squeals can be heard as they check huts and stores, waking up other goblins and the livestock. Skrag remains in place, staring at you. Grobrog bounds over to you, looking into the hut he whispers to you.
"Village is attacked, flute in danger. Get it out of here. This might hurt"
You do not have time to make a response as Grobrog swings his mighty arm into your chest with enough force to launch you away from the village square and into an ally. You can tell he pulled his punch, but no one really wants to be on the wrong end of a bugbear's assault. You are winded, but the adrenaline is flowing enough that getting up isn't as difficult as you expect. Grobrog turns and shouts
"He went that way!" (pointing away from you) "He still has the Flute!"
You find yourself alone next to the tribal Chief's house.

Is the town encompassed by a wall? If yes i head to the closest way to get over it. That could be a ladder onto a walkway or a gate or a secret passage.
if there is no wall, i head towards the edge of town and go out into the (i assume there is) forrest
There is a wooden wall surrounding the village, with 4 towers at the compass points. You would know that there are gates to the north and south. The Tribal leader’s hut is closer to the northern gate. As you approach the northern tower you notice a figure standing watch. They haven’t noticed you yet.

There is indeed, stealth check please! I’ll give you advantage if you can come up with a way to distract and/or make things easier for you. The village is pretty chaotic at the moment, and everyone is on edge. As the news of the tribal Chief starts to spread, people are panicking and extremely agitated.

(Sorry, should have mentioned that the figure on the tower is a goblin sentry, so wearing your disguise would have been more conspicuous. However, you have made your stealth check, so it's irrelevant).
You make your way past the tower by moving under the line of sight of the sentry. You hear some mumblings from above as they watch the bedlam unfold within the village. It isn't too difficult to slowly make your way to the gate, lift the bar and silently make your way out of the village. Just as you slowly move the gate back you hear several loud war cries bellow out, coming from Grobrog, which you would know to mean that either he has slain something, or he was rallying everyone to a target within the village.
The sky is very clear now and the moon casts a silvery hue over the land before you. The woods are to the north east, the river to the west and open lands straight ahead of you. You would be aware that the village Booyahgs have placed several traps and warnings around the village to prevent outsiders from entering, though you are not sure of their specific locations, nor their effects.

From your own wanderings outside the village you are a little familiar with the layout of the wood and can make your way through with relative ease. During the day, this wood is usually bustling with sights and sounds (and occasionally smells) of wildlife. The night is less busy, but you hear the odd scurrying of badgers and the hooting of owls as you move through. You know of one place in the woods, that doesn’t have any real connection to your village and would be a safer place to stop - almost blind Barnabas has a small poaching lodge a little further up and may be able to shelter you, but it would mean moving through a denser part of the wood. (Though you may just take shelter where you are/find a safe spot, etc)
