You move through the wood, looking for a good place to settle down for the night. It isn’t long before you find a fallen tree that would offer some protection while you sleep. As you approach the tree however, it is apparent that some one else has had the same idea and is slumped against the fallen tree with their back to you. They don’t appear to be moving, but there is a rustling coming from them.

You aren’t sure what is happening here, there is certainly a figure against the fallen tree trunk, but their body is obscured by the trunk. They seem to be quite still, but the rustling sounds is certainly coming from the figure.

Moving through the brush isn't too difficult and you can slowly, but stealthily make your way towards the figure. You move in a wide arc to get a good look at the person lying against the fallen trunk. Your dark vision easily picks out a hooded person, dressed much like the individuals you saw back at your village. A giant rat is burrowing its way into the slumped individual's stomach, its gnawings making the body shake and judder. You hear the squelching and ripping of flesh as the rat gorges on the innards. It doesn't notice you.

The rat seems to be so focussed on consuming the body that it isn’t disturbed by your movements. Making your way further through the forest you come across a sizeable tree that looks climbable and could certainly support your weight. The canopy would also give you suitable cover, but would also inhibit your ability to see further across the forest. you also see a grassy knoll in a small clearing that would give you less elevation, and a clearer view of the surroundings, but would make you more exposed.

The branches are strong and wide, certainly enough to cater to a goblin. It isn't long before you find yourself propped up against the trunk, feeling the slight breeze and seeing the gentle swaying of the leaves around you. After a night of escaping your village, finally being able to settle somewhere is most welcome.
(You can sleep if you wish, but mechanically it is required at some point.)

You ate able to sleep in this situation. The adrenalin is still pumping as you settle, but eventually you doze off. When you wake it is a little later in the morning that you would usually wake; the night’s activities were exhausting for you. The mid morning sun is peeking through the leaves at this time, and the weather is clear and the forest is alive with sounds once again. You can now choose where you wish to go!

Skreek will sleep, but it wont be deep sleep because of recent events.
