The Continent of Oswaria used to be a land of prosperity and regality; Kings and Queens stood over the land and guided it with warm arms and even sensibilities. It was a time of growth and comfort that most people benefitted from. Kingdoms could spring up over the course of as little as a decade; as long as the people believed in something, or someone, then anything was possible. This axiom was maintained throughout this era and unprecedented riches flowed through the land. Those that embraced it were greeted and rewarded, but those that were too slow, or misunderstood the meaning of belief were ignored or cast out.
This was a time of great deeds, heroic people and self congratulatory stories told by people around fires. The greatest of these kingdoms was the Sun City, known by its old tongue name of Solency, where the King was powerful and just. The city was the seat of strength and influence over the whole of Oswaria. Until a great cataclysm hit the continent and destroyed several kingdoms and people. Solency opened its gates and allowed those who needed shelter to come a settle.
Few stories have been told since the cataclysm, and no one has a definite answer as to how or why it happened. Your small village was mostly untouched by the upheaval in the larger cities, and over time it has become less of a topic of conversation and much more of a cautionary tale of what can happen to those who lead decadent and complex lives.
Skreek - Goblin/Bard/Entertainer - Level 1
This night, you have performed your usual routine; playing music and telling tales of more homely and relatable stories, of Goblins of old and strong futures for your people. The night was like others; you retired to your hut and laid down to rest.
However, you are awoken with a start as you come to realise you hear non goblin voices speaking in hushed tones outside your hut.
I silently get up, listen carefully and try to peek out of a window. We rarely get visitors of the non-goblinoid kind. Especially not during the night. Because of that im a bit confused but definetly on alert.
Your darkvision easily picks out 2 hooded figures as you peek out the window. You don’t recognise the language. One of them seems to be gesturing some sort of commands while softly murmuring. A third hooded figure comes to them, exchanges gestures with them and finally all three split up. Watching them, you surmise that one is heading in the direction of the chief’s hut, one towards the barracks and the final one towards the stores.

5e Flumps and Friends - Garak (Hobgoblin Sage Divination Wizard)
5e Ghosts of Saltmarsh - Gala Ishara (Kalashtar Sage Druid), Naerwaen (Half elf Spy Rogue), Korth (Lizardfolk Wanderer Fighter)
Knowing that Skreek isnt a great fighter he waits a few minutes after the figures leave, then casts disguise self on himself, grabs his rapier and steps outside. He imitates the look of those people, only smaller, and then quietly heads for the building where the bone-flute is kept.
Slipping through the darkness is relatively easy, and you make your way through the village towards the square and the chief’s hut. It is the known location of the Bone Flute; your village’s sacred relic and symbol of strength for your tribe. It is a journey you have made many times, and it is almost second nature to you. Approaching the chief’s hut, you notice the door is slightly ajar.
You also hear light footsteps coming towards you from the opposite side of the square.

Skreek immediatly presses against the wall, on the hinged side, that way, should the door open it will naturally block sight towards him. He will also tap his head and his mouth forms the words Orcus watch over me in goblin, though he does not say it out loud. Essentially he inspires himself.
Nevermind, cant inspire myself. He still does it, but without effect
Up against the wall of the Chief’s hut it is hard to hear or see anything clearly without moving closer to the opening, but with the moonlight coming through the window you are able to see shadows moving within the hut. The light foot steps coming from the opposite side of the square stop suddenly, and you hear a rustling noise. Turning, you see one of the hooded figures gesturing to you. They seem quite agitated and seem to be waiting for a response.

Skreek is starting to realize what he touches and can just barely hold the barf back. He will carefully walk the way towards the instrument, picking the path form memory.
You slowly make you way through the hut, towards the supposed location of the flute. The Tribal Chief hut is slightly bigger than the standard ones of your fellow tribesmen, and certainly bigger than a humble Bard's within the tribe. As per your memory, the Chief's hut layout doesn't seem to have changed from your blind flailings. The hut is circular, with the tribal chief's bed in the Northwestern part of the hut and the Tribal Seat in the Northern part. A bone and animal skin dais is set in the middle, which is where you remember the Bone Flute to be.
Using your hands to feel yourself around the hut and towards the dais, you finally push your hand out to grasp at the Flute.
As you suspect, it isn't in this spot. You would however, know that in times of necessity, the chief would have put it in a particular spot that would keep it safe. From this you can infer that the chief probably realised there was danger and had enough time to stash it away before anyone arrived to take it. The darkness is still permeating the hut.
(I'll defer to you to choose where the hiding spot is)
