As soon as the plants came to life, Herrena sprinted into action. Swords out, she moved like a dancer as she bobbed and weaved around it's whip-like tentacle as she slashed at it twice with her swords.
A devious smirk arises on Thea's face as she feels her psychic attack take effect. The hand she had previously moved to cast the spell begins to gesture again, her fingers now motioning as if tightly grasping something.

Iver has been walking with both his scimitars in hand since the last fight. Well... he wasn't sure what he'd do with them if another of the slimes appeared, but he didn't really want to take out his bow just yet. He could use it well... but it wasn't his favourite way of fighting. He feels the presence of enemies too late and fails to avoid the attack. He quickly replies with two attacks of his own, though, first with his left hand, followed by a slightly weaker attack with his right hand.

(I think you added 1 HP to TS2, instead of subtracting 11. Mentioning it in case it wasn't intentional...)
Feeling his blades cutting through what he knows is what hit him before, Iver feels satisfied. No one cuts into his body without having their body cut back. He tries to slash at the enemy once again, trying to get deeper cuts with each attack this time. If he feels the... plant creature... is dead or is fleeing away, Iver will open his eyes to see the state of the battlefield. Seeing the others fighting a different enemy, he runs towards them and then closes his eyes. If he's fast enough, he'll even try to cut off a piece of the plant before it can react.

(OOC: You're absolutely right, Firecat. Either way with the attacks you made, combat's over.)
From the party's flurry of attacks, both of the Thornslingers posting as guardians of this cave are hacked apart or burnt away! They slump to the ground, reduced to a mere pile of vegetation.
Visible from the small area you currently find yourselves in is two paths, each leading upwards. The small amount of light filtering through makes each path barely visible. The one to your left hugs the rocky wall and circles upwards towards a flat outcropping (Area A4). A central pathway made of stone carves another path through the chasm and leads to the same place; and while the central passage looks relatively easy to climb, some more slime causes the stone beyond to be somewhat slick. The narrowness of each passage may make traveling quite treacherous, lest you want to fall into the pit beneath. Single-file will also be necessary.
Those of you with a passive perception above 14 notice sounds of scuffling echoing from the small room far above the winding, spiral-like cavern (Area A5).
Unless you'd like to do something creative, let me know which path you’d prefer.
"Well that wasn't too bad." Herrena began as she wiped plant gunk off her swords before sheathing them. Then looking forward towards the two pathways, she added, "I think we should take the left one; and I'm happy to test it out first if needed. Though that path seems a little more difficult on it's face, the slime trail on the central one makes me think that it's actually the more dangerous way to go; especially if a slime pops up while we're crossing over that chasm." She looked down towards the darkness below quickly looking away and thinking to herself, Yeah, that's definitely not how I want my story to end...
The left path is shrouded in darkness, making it quite difficult to see without darkvision. The right path over the chasm will require a DC10 Dexterity check to see if you can make it across without taking a slip’n’slide down the cavern.
Additionally - DC15 Perception check for anyone traversing the left passageway, with disadvantage if you don’t have Darkvision.
Thea shifts out of her combat stance, relaxing her tensed muscles. She stretches out her fingers and then, closing her eyes for a moment, shakes her head, as if to clear it. Taking a deep breath, she looks around at the slain foes, committing the impression to her memory, before she paces over to Herrena. "Better safe than sorry, we can still come back if the left path leads to a dead end." She takes a step forward, her eyes narrowed, as she tries to discern what might lie ahead of them in the darkness concealing the left path.

Erbert pulls the thorn out of his body which looks like a mini harpoon in the little gnome. “Ugh.” He looks bloodied from the thorn, amazingly. Erbert whips out his journal, puts the thorn in it as a bookmark. He makes a quick drawing of the creature and takes some notes about it. “I nearly died!” In bold he writes below it poisoned!. “I agree with you Thea, let’s certainly take the less dangerous path!!” He sketches out their route.

Iver shrugs. He was pretty sure that he could maintain balance over there... but safety is never a bad thing to have. He crosses after the others, both scimitars in hand, ready to defend against attackers.

Katrin: 15
Not paying too much attention, Katrin observed the dead plants for a moment longer than expected, until she noticed the troupe was continuing on towards the left.
The party elects to traverse the left pathway, hugging close to the cave wall on the side. The rocky, wet terrain makes you almost need to rock-climb to maintain a decent footing on the side of the cavern; the sound of dripping water greets your ears as you fumble, ever so slowly, upwards. By now, anyone poisoned feels your bodies counteract the toxins.
Until - whoosh. What? Something unseen descends upon the party. The vibrating sound of echolocation fills the area as a screech follows a wash of magical darkness which engulfs the entire area.
??? - against...6 Katrin, you feel a squiggly array of tentacles attempt to wrap around your head as a darkness darker than a midnight, moonless night wraps around the vicinity. Attack: 24 Damage: 4 You find yourself blinded and unable to breathe as something wet, slimy, and faintly pulsing begins to try to smother you!
Katrin moves in, brings her axe up in a sweeping arc, and down upon the Thornslinger1!
Attack: 11 Damage: 5
Hhhh...
Weak. You need more power. But i'm just an explorer. No. I am more, now.
