<How long does Tauzen want to look in the sands of the glass crater?>
To the north,, in the distance, Tauzen can see through the heat shimmer what he thinks might be some greenery. Just a few palms and low-growing grass. Further that way, the terrain rises to hills.
To the East, he can just make out some alabaster towers encircling a central stronghold of unusual design.
To the south, a single rock pinnacle rises from the sand.
To the west, ominous mountains lay in the far diatance.
Tauzan will only spend a few minutes inspecting the glass crater, unless something catches his attention. He tries to guage the time it might take to reach the towers and stronghold to the east or the greenery to the north. He will head for whichever he might reach soonest.
Calner will ask Tauzen,"Hello there, are you still on the same plane as us? Can you describe where you are? Tyreus is dead and we're departing the dragon's realm to seek you out. Anything you can share with us that will give us a clue as to where you currently are?" (this is telepathic communication)
(OOC - I'm guessing probably same plane, but not sure, so I'll wait for DM input. Also - you have telepathy that covers anywhere on the same plane!?)

As a consequence the telepathy, rhiae near Calner experience a faint but pervasive sense of dread (this is from the unique diaturbance feature, but feel free to have a more potent manifeststion if you'd like).
<the telepathy lasts 10 minutes. Was it cast before entering the castle, becasue that's nearly up, I think. Otherwise, still some time.

<you're all in the same place, and for that matter same continent, however, you are not all at the same time. I don't think 5e rules cover this. For a ruling, I am using lore that, as of now is canon, but might change soon. I won't single it out because it might tie into the campaign at some point, depending on player choices. I don't think Tauzen can speak to the rest of the group through telepathy. >

"My mentors wouldn't allow me to venture farther east. I fear that it's time I left the life of adventure behind and take responsibility of supporting my tribe"-Marlyth will announce the news of her retirement with a heavy heart. She will cast Lesser Restoration on Tabaqui using charges of the 'Amulet of Restoration', so that he's no longer poisoned. After that, she will offer the amulet to Calner while repeating a friendly invitation, "You must pay a visit to the hybsil's temporary camp, they'll be really happy to see you."
She will address Sir Angus as a fearless and courageous warrior, and hold the harengon companion Walks with Shadows in a cordial embrace. "I hope you find out the location of Tauzan and rescue him from any inconvenience. And take care, my friend."

As he searches the sand, Tauzen thinks he hears something on the wind. It sounds like the hiwl of a wolf. He glances around, but there doesn't seem to be anything. He keeps digging, and as he does, the howling becomes louder. It's so close and so loud, it must surely be in his head. An audible mirage? hallucination. It beckons him. Tauzen finds something hard in the sand. As he uncovers it, he sees the handle first. Grasping the object he draws it from the sand, revealing a head in the shape of a wolf. He senses magic dwelling within this object.
Closer? That's speculative, so I'm rolling for it.
<this might be a good time to reture any PCs that arent moving forward and we can just work up a means of your new PCs to meet the old ones. Or you can just do whatever you want. Just kwt me know if it's a sunset post so I dont throw something in front if a PC who's trung to retire. On thst note, there are few ways to travel back in time, so you should count on stsying now, and meta expectstion woukd suggest Tauzen (if that PC is continuing,) will come back at some point.>
Tauzen heads toward the oasis. As he nears the verdant patch of land in the arid sands of the this corner of the world, he treads through grassland dotted with small boulders. Hills covered in scrub grass ascend outward to the east and north. A rocky outcropping to the east is the source of a sporadic howling sound as the wind passes through a hole in it. Approaching, you see that this hole is roughly to shape of a vertical pupil, like that of a lion.
The attunement to the stone now broken, the castle that wad illusion made real has begun to fade, melting away into the shire and surf. In the distance a lone figure approaches, a woman in a long red cloak, hair shorn, scalp tattooed. In an instant the identity if this woman is clear to all: Morena Veilmist has returned.
Thank you for joining us, to those departing. I wish I had a better ending. I just,Gozt'd it I guess. But, uh.. prequel? Yeah let's what happened BEFORE... ooh.
Morwena raises both hands, fingers splayed, the sleeves of her red robe spilling down her forearms, baring them to reveal she us not holding anything and wears fingerbindings, familiar to casters and thise who have traveled to places where magic use is strictly controlled. <She is demonstrating thst she cannot instantly cast any spell with more than a verbal component.> As she comes within shouting distance, she calls. "Well met! Please, do not fear. I have been watching from afar. I bear you no ill will, for I come not to praise Tyreus, but to bury him!"
Tauzen sees rhe glimmer of a pool of water in the center of the oasis shimmering through the foliage of rhe surrounding palms as he approaches.
<Perception check, please>
DC14 to see:
Tauzen notices some movement in the trees. He's certain it's not just the wind. To his left, in the grass, he becomes aware of another creature hiding, ready to pounce.
Tauzen sees in the trees ahead a beautiful woman with dark hair, wearing a fine silk tunic of white. Gold bracelets adorn her forearms and she wears a golden necklace with a red gem draped across her chest. She sees you and smiles.
Angus regards the newcomer with suspicion. "You may bear no ill will, but I certainly do. I recall laying unconscious near death in the Hidden Page as you battled my friends for that damned stone. Wizards and their blighted toys! Ought to be drawn and quartered, all of you. Look at the destruction Tyreus rained down on Faerun with that stone. Now the dragon has it, and who knows what will happen to our world. You should never have assisted him, Morwena, and I have no reason to trust you now."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
{Tauzan Perception Check: 12)
Sensing the magic within the wolf-shaped head, Tauzan takes it with him to study more closely later. Giving the hole only a cursory look, he makes for the pool of water at the oasis. But as he notices something to his left, he hesitates, backing up a bit. He hopes that this might be resolved without a fight, as he's very much in need of a rest to recuperate.
(OOC - I suppose this can be the closing post for Tauzan. Not sure what might be stalking him, but I'd hope it doesn't kill him. I'd rather hope he continued on at some point to learn where he's at. And either make a new life in this time or eventually find a way back.)
Spotting the attractive dark haired woman in the bushes, he notices her expression change in recognition if the fact that she has been spotted. She speaks softly, but audibly from this distance, a single word in a language unfamiliar to Tauzen. A low growl emanates from the grass to his left. The woman approaches the edge of the oasis, as she exits through the foliage, it reveals that her beautiful humanoid upper body merges into a powerful four-legged leonine form. Its vicious black claws speak to its predatory nature, as does its hunger for torture and humanoid flesh.
Tauzen doesn't notice this, though, because she has cast disguise self. She gestures toward the source of the growling and speaks an arcane word, at which a jackal stands and emerges from the grass, striding softly toward her.
"You must be parched, traveler." She says in words somehow intelligible to Tauzen. "Wouldn't you like to refresh yourself in the cool waters of the oasis?"
<.... I might flesh this out. It happened in the past, so it is there. I know what happens, just deciding to write it or not.>
Spoilers that probably won't effect anyone:
She's a Lamia, her pet is a Jackelwere. She is planning to use a geas spell, which probably succeeds with a touch that gives DA to Wis saves.
Lamias are particularly fond of seeking out adventurers with pure hearts to seduce and corrupt to evil, savoring the destruction of their virtue. They use their magic to lure potential victims to their lairs, relying on illusion and their thralls to capture hapless foes. Lamias prize beauty and strength above all else, however. Any prisoner that falls short of their esteem becomes the main course in a horrible feast, or is set free to die while wandering the wastes.
I'm not overly concerned about the mechanics of specific spells she s git, especially since this is a send off and purely for story purposes.
Tauzen naturally agrees that the cool water would be refreshing. The woman reaches out her hand and guides Tauzen trough the shade of the trees, jackal in tow.
Tauzen drinks if the water, splashing his face a d drenching his head in cool water. In the clear pool, he sees what looks to be a small pile of gold and silver objects. "What's that?" he asks the woman.
"That's my collection. I have many agents in my employ. I am rather selective with who I trust, but I am in need of more agents, and I think perhaps you might be able to help."
With a dour expression, Morwena listens patiently to Angus as she draws near. When he has concluded, she replies,
