I was going to do a cleric/sorc or rogue as stated in the other thread, but will happily play the tank. I decided to break out one of my favorite characters, Og the Destroyer. Despite what you may think when reading below, he actually makes for some fun RPing. I would make my character a neutral half orc, but made him a large human to stick to the rules.
Name: Og the Destroyer
Race: Human, Neutral
Class: Barbarian with Soldier background
Description: Very tall and basically solid muscle
Background: ME OG! OG SMASH! *thumps chest* Err... SOMETIMES OG EAT WHAT OG SMASH!
(Don't worry, he won't be shouting in caps for most posts.)
If it wasn't obvious, Og isn't the sharpest individual, but he's incredibly strong, tough, big, and nasty. His only real mission in life is to eat and smash things. Particularly people and things that try to smash him (or his friends) back! Imagine an incredibly strong and violent (when necessary) Cookie Monster. Og isn't evil, but he is too dumb to be considered wholly good as he tends to go along with the group whenever diplomacy or tact are needed. He is a valuable asset to have for a friend, just don't challenge him to a fight as he loves "smash-time!"
I’m not against anyone joining; but jumping without introduction and joining without asking seems a bit rude. Correct me if i’m wrong (like private conv. With dm or so).
Is it too late for me to join this campaign in the making?
There are currently 6 characters. Bard, Barbarian, Wizard, Rogue, Monk, and a Druid - all lvl 1.
You can always roll a character and join the campaign since the DM will decide who will stay...my spot (Barbarian) isn't guaranteed either. 2-3 earlier posters have yet to join so you might as well make a character and just edit in specific background info once the lineup is set. Sometimes people aren't able to join after expressing interest, so you never know. My other campaign has 7 players, so it's possible that there may be room.
In the spirit of fairness, if a new member to PbP D&D wants to join and they don't yet have a campaign - I would be willing to yield my potential spot in favor of letting a new PbP player join so they can experience it.

I confused a different introduction on a different thread with this campaign since they both have the same DM. Hence, why I commented on playing a different class. My apologies... didn't mean to come across as rude due to a misunderstanding on my part.
I'll just remove myself from the game (as I offered to do anyway), but keep my character active in case someone doesn't join.

I’m not against what you did, or what you defend, which is true. Just a lityle kindness goes a long way...

Just to clarify, my other post about the number of players was in response to the member asking if there was room... wasn't directed to your initial response since I guess I was still typing after your post was up.
Edited my post #65 with the quote just to avoid further confusion since I already inadvertantly made an ass of myself. Apologies again.
Went ahead and removed my barbarian but kept him active just in case a replacement is needed. Have fun everyone!
Ok, quick roll-call to see who is here to play. Necmo you are in my other game as a paladin, correct? Would you rather be in this group? I would perfer you only join one of the groups as they will overlap somewhat.
So go ahead and say "HI", or dot or whatever just so I know who is here and ready.

I'll stay in the other campaign w/ my Paladin, already removed my character from here in favor of letting others get a game in and due to a blunder on my part.

Just open the compendium and then the rules tab. I do not have any of the adventures. Choose whichever book you want to examine, and it will take you there...
Sorry I am trying to keep a 1E feel to the game, and dragonborn were not there. If you want to switch him to a different race (elf, human, dwarf, gnome, halfling ) they you may go ahead.

Rdy!
Maybe I have to change race for my monk?
Yeah, sorry did not notice that before...
Np! I have seen that your compendium is shared but a How can I read it/them ?

I've got a level 1 Dragonborn fighter ready to go. Is it ok if I just use that?

Was hoping you can change the flag on this threat to close so we are not still attracting players. I think we have all we need at the moment
