Zensiro takes a quick glance and after hearing the others' statements, says, "May as well grab everything easy to carry and sort it out later. Flint, Hurren, sounds like you made your choices. Malichi and I can haggle over the rapier, depending on what we might find upstairs. The other minor items I'm not too worried about sorting now. I hope no one cares too much about the armour, but I don't feel like lugging that around while we try to make an escape. Neither suits me in any case."

You do not sense anything as a spider, as a Goblin you notice each of the bodies including the Wererat, have a tattoo of Lady Irene's insignia on their wrist. By some mechanism, magic or otherwise, the Wererat appeared to be suck in its hybrid form.
I didn't mention this before (because I'm an egg) but with your check you also summarised the Wererat would open the secret door to the kitchen when commanded, based off the scratch marks around the lever. Judging from the bones down the Wererat's makeshift hovel, you observe the reward was whatever cast off material from the experiments that was left over.

From inside the room you hear " SHHH! You mustn't let them know we are up here..... I've never been more scared in my life, this didn't happen the other nights; have you found Lady Irene? Maybe she knows what happened tonight and can call for the guard" you hear sobs " please be careful....come back for me, will you? Promise?"
You hear a screech. You have 1 round/ 6 seconds to decide on a course of action before you are discovered, what would you like to do?
After thankfully recruiting Harissa, Zensiro returns to Lady Irene's room, briefly explains to her the party's recruitment and mission, and asks if she can assist the party with any knowledge she might have of Lady Irene's true form and capabilities. He then excuses himself to meditate briefly with the blade in an attempt to attune to it. In the course of this meditation, Zensiro realizes that this weapon inflicts a terrible cost on its victims that would certainly be to his advantage, but it seems to exact no cost upon himself other than the knowledge of the grievous harm he is inflicting upon his foe. Resolved that he will only use it justly and that it is better off in his hands than in those of an evildoer, he comes to an uneasy acceptance of the weapon (and is hopefully now attuned).
Arising from his meditation, he asks, "What did I miss?"
Skrach panics, doubting he can get back to the room before the approaching bird arrives.
He pulls himself down into a crouch, taking up a defensive stance and gently extending his hands.
Channelling his farming instincts, as soon as he sees (what he is presuming to be) the Vulture, he will thrust out his hand and cast Animal Friendship in desperate hope. He will say softly (in beast speech) "Not gonna hurt you little buddy, come 'ere, ol' Skrach has got a treat for ya" he will reach into his pack and hold out some scraps of rat meat.

He pulls himself down into a crouch, taking up a defensive stance and gently extending his hands.
