I second the meat grinder thing. It really adds up after a while. I am probably gonna stick to tier 1 for a while because I don't wanna buy the stuff on here yet. I have other characters but they require content I don't have.
Also anyone mind if I grab the potion? I have the fewest total hp, and I can potentially administer it to any one of you melee types who needs it in the future.
Our unofficial healer? Sounds good to me, especially if we keep adventuring together. I was thinking of only using this character on the forums as long as we keep playing together.
Apologies for not getting away until now. I am actually watching Critical Roll while I type. I will run you guys through this module I got from dmsguild(don't worry, it's AL legal.)
We’re going to do something a little different for the start of this adventure. I want to bring your characters together through a common NPC, someone all of you know and love. We’ll create this person together. Everyone gets a say in who this person is and why they are important to your characters.
I should add it you are stumped, these are the kinds of details I'm looking for.
What humanoid race (and subrace) is this NPC? • What is this NPC’s gender? • How old is this NPC? • What is this NPC named? • What does this NPC do for a living? • What gods, if any, does this NPC worship? • What are this NPC’s two personality traits? • What is this NPC’s ideal? • What is this NPC’s bond? • What is this NPC’s flaw? • How did this NPC die? • How was the NPC brought back to life? • How did the characters meet this NPC? • In what ways do you remain in contact with this NPC? (Everyone should answer this individually.)
Ah Helga, I believe we met in Waterdeep as well. She offered my previous party hospitality and was a very generous person. She died when bandits robbed her outside the city, but a cleric of my last party revivified her. I have written to her a couple times since then.
"Poor Helga, I am glad she could be with her friends and family in the end. She was as good of a baker as she was a smith. One time I did a job for her and all she had was a cherry pie. From then on I would only accept pie as payment for any work she needed done." I tear up, "I don't think I'll be able to go back to Waterdeep now that she's gone."
"Helga, ye were a true friend, an' a kind soul. Once there was a lad who wanted to get his father new warhammer for his birthday. Now this boy made a deal to work for her in exchange for the hammer. At the end of the agreed upon time she gave him a fine Warhammer, but also the wages in gold. Sayin' she didn't feel right stealin' from such a good lad." Tears well up briefly, "Ye will be missed dearly."
"It seems surreal to see you here today. Haverforth (the cleric from before) tried time and again-even calling for divine intervention to no avail." My countenance looks angry rather than sad. "I will find the source of this affliction, and I will bring you back!"

It looks like the consensus is season 7. What do you have access to/ have in mind for that?

Sounds good to me too. I'll have access to more than lay on hands in the future.
I could try running City on the Edge. Alternatively we could run some of the Hardcover. It would be a long process though.

(OOC I guess I get to start the description, I googled Critical role and it looks interesting.)
Her name is Helga Torsten. She's a smith from Waterdeep where we both grew up. I haven't seen her in years but we were great friends.

Poor Helga, I was hired to steal back some of the goods the bandits took. I occasionally visit Waterdeep to check in on her.
As a side note remember you are all death cursed.

“My name is Remallia, and I lead a group of Harpers trying
to uncover the cause of the death curse. We believe the death curse is similar to
the magic a lich uses to feed souls to its phylactery.
We think a lich would be able to trace the source
of the death curse. My team plans on raiding the lair of a
lich named Zaldara Cordress, known as the
Duchess of Rot, and forcing her to
cooperate in tracking the source of the death curse.
The lich’s tower is in the nearby Cloakwood.
I believe stealing her phylactery is the key to getting Zaldara to
Cooperate. Harper wizards used the scrying spell to determine
Zaldara’s phylactery is her spellbook, a tome
bound in humanoid skin, which she keeps locked
in a vault in her basement.
I need a small force of adventurers to
sneak into Zaldara’s cellar to look for her
phylactery, while we attack the ground and upper floors of the tower
to draw most of the lich’s guards away from the
phylactery.
I would like you three to be the
smaller strike team and offers them a potion of
healing each now and 500 gp as a reward upon
completion of the job."
"The Harpers? Your group is quite capable. Yes I will help you. Anything that will help me return Helga to the land of the living."
"You don't sound so well yourself. Of course we'll do this, what kind of Harper would I be otherwise?"
"O' course lass. I'd be honored to help. Now how are we going to do this?"
