This is not the first time that Sinver has contacted Beatrix in this way so she is marginally less freaked out than she was the first time. It still sends a shiver down her spine however. She turns back to the barkeep, “Going back to the raids, can you tell me where has been attacked so far? And as curious and unlikely as a flying ship is, in your capacity as the town therapist, I am sure you can point me in the direction of any individuals who may have been expounding on having seeing a flying ship after one or two cups of ale, however tall the tale sounded. In addition, might you provide me with a small glass of mead or something sweet?”

"Let´s see the deputy then." Val says plainly to Sinver as she exits the tavern. "Yes, thanks, a cage, well put Rahkinchu." Val says to the half-orc with a shy smile as she takes a deep breath outside. "Let´s just say I much prefer a serene glade over a bustling tavern."
As they start walking Val continues "So the underwater object Aelric spotted was most likely the towns own dancing drake then. I have a strange feeling we will meet that drake either we seek it out or not. For now let´s concentrate on any dangers from above though." As she says that Aelric takes off again, making another sweep around town, trying again to spot threats, particularly flying ships approaching in the night. Perception:20
“Town therapist, that’s a good description of the job. And there are said to be attacks on goblin camps, for the most part. No one round here has claimed to see one, all of them are too sane for that,” The bartender says, handing you an appropriately sized mug of mead for a rabbit of your diminished stature.
In the midst of doing one-handed pushups with two of the barmaids seated side-saddle on his back, Aeneas spots Val and that odd orcish woman exit the tavern. The gnome as well appears to be gone, but he can still see Beatrix and Bryant chatting with the barkeep.
What strange companions I've picked up, he thinks to himself, while the crowd loudly counts each repetition, "Twenty-two.....Twenty-Three!..."
Monks especially,he continues inwardly, I don't get them. I mean they sit around all day contemplating their navels, and then all of a sudden they jump up and beat the hell out of you before you even know what happened. What's up with that? I mean it's all 'peace and serenity' and then they kick you in the crotch! At this thought, he winces involuntarily, and one of the barmaids topples off, giggling.
As Aelric reports his findings Valeria makes a mental note of visiting the glen as soon as they have spoken to the deputy. "So what brought you two to M.E.T.A.L?"Val asks Sinver and Rahkinchu as they walk the nightly steets of Drakeriver.
“Bryant can you suggest an alternate course of action? The folk here seem to have no inkling of a flying vessel, and Aeneas seems to have little concern to find one.” She sips her mead thoughtfully
Stopping at thirty, Aeneas rolls over and sits up, nimbly catching the remaining barmaid around the waist before she falls, and setting the rosy-cheeked lass on her feet. He flips a couple of silver to both the maids, and states, "Very well, I have entertained you with feats of strength and tales of my exploits. Now, who can tell me something new, something exciting, some rare thing that Aeneas has never heard of before? Aeneas craves novelty and adventure![and apparently, speaks of himself in the third person]. A gold coin to anyone who can direct me to some villain worthy of my greatness, some challenge that meets my stature, some grave injustice, impossible to overcome, that needs righting?!"
(OOC: There doesn´t seem to be a way to stop Aeneas now, but perhaps Beatrice or Bryant still being in the bar will find a way. Can you say anything about M.E.T.A.L´s view on how their agents behave in the field. Is there a code or anything to keep to or are we all "free" agents, completing our missions as we see fit? :-)
Bryant thinks for a moment, "I am not sure; the others have left to speak to local law enforcement which is probably our best chance for reliable information. We should try the other inn, I believe it was called the Dine Inn. We need lodging anyways."
When Bryant hears Aeneas yelling to the crowd he heads over to him and clasps him on the shoulder, "My good friend why don't we take your merriment to a new audience let us not deprive the rest of the town your greatness. Besides we shall be here for a few days let them hunger for more don't show them all your talents in one evening!"
"What? No one has heard of anything unusual in these parts? Very well then, I shall take my gold and my dazzling presence elsewhere. Good even to all, and a merry night!"Aeneas stands and follows Bryant, winking at the barmaids and stopping briefly by the barkeep to assure all accounts are settled satisfactorily.
As he exits into the night, he exhibits no signs of drunkenness, and incredibly appears to have limited himself to the single mug of ale he started with. He is whistling and smiling, pretty pleased with himself, but not tipsy.
In a cheerful voice he says, "Well, that didn't work. What's the plan, Sir Monk? Or is the Lady Beatrix in charge?" here nodding to the rabbit-woman. "I'm not quite sure of the chain-of-command here...."

Bryant looks at Aeneas and smiles, "The others have gone to speak with the deputy I think we let them do that. Why don't we head over to the Dine Inn and see if anyone there has information for us and get some rooms for our stay. Let us try a slightly quieter approach there, perhaps less singing and dancing. It does not sound like the type of place that would appreciate your showmanship. As for the chain of command, we are all capable individuals... I think... Let us work as a team all ideas are welcome and encouraged!"
As they walk through town Bryant carefully scans the area looking for anything or anyone suspicious, he can be a little paranoid... and things here are not as advertised...

Aeneas inclines his head briefly, "As you wish, Sir Monk. However, as a former soldier, it has been my experience that rule-by-committee is not an efficient way to run a squad. There needs to be a leader, a decision-maker if the way to proceed is murky, or if there are disagreements in the ranks. Lest ye think I am promoting myself, I am equally at ease following or leading, but chaos and unclear leadership often leads to disaster." He shrugs, and continues onward, whistling and smiling.
"By the way, what did you learn from the barkeep? I discovered that the flying ship is either unknown to those patrons, or else is considered so ordinary as to be unremarkable."
As they walk toward the Deputy's office Sinver responds to Valeria, "...I was at the site of some magical phenomenon. M.E.T.A.L. showed up to investigate it. Then they found me, alone and still a child by Gnome standards. Afterwards they took me in then trained me to be one of their agents. Been with the agency ever since."
Beatrix follows Aeneas and Bryant at a short distance, unconsciously making her movements until she interjects “The barkeep has heard no tale or rumours of a flying vessel, they attributed the attacks to goblin raiders. This contract seems most curious to me, but Bryant’s suggestion of The other Inn is the next sensible step at this juncture. Aeneas whilst I am sure your entertainments are popular, perhaps a more subtle use of your charm is in order?”
As the group makes it easy towards the center of town, Rahkinchu sighs wistfully. "Forests and the open wilds... I'd much rather be there than this..." Here she takes a moment to glance around at all the buildings. "Why do they chop up SO many trees to make these boxes to live in?"
Continuing to look around, she takes a moment to respond to Valeria's question.
"METAL... well they found me really. Or Raff did. I had just left... my village..." She glances at Sinver a moment, who has probably heard some of this before. "Well, it was more of a camp really. And we were attacked and I managed to escape. So I was wandering on my own and... well, I didn't do so well in the first town I came across. But, I met Raff. She helped me a bit and eventually convinced me to join this odd organization."

Still no ships but there is a nice little glen in the forest that would be a good place to sit and rest after a long day.
Farewell.

(Anyone gonna stop him or are they just curious where this will lead?)
Farewell.

(Erm, I think that agents are pretty much directed to where they’re supposed to be and then from there however they get the job done.)
Farewell.
(OOC: Ok, I guess Aeneas way could be one way to go about it then :-)
