There have been reports of a floating ship conducting raids on nearby towns, and you six have been called in to investigate the credibility of these rumors. You arrive in the small town of Drakeriver, a fishing village bordering a lake. You have been told to find Mayor Gilligan Stumps, and protect the city against incoming threats. You all arrive at the town, admiring it's simple charm, the houses and buildings are all made of wood and the smell of cooking fish fills the evening air. (If you would please introduce your characters to each other)
Beatrix looks very twitchy, looking around as if constantly on a hare trigger, fiddling with a metal bracelet on her wrist with a large polished gem in the centre. “Hey team, this is a bit of a funny assignment for me, artefact recovery is my usual gig, but the higher ups seems to think this airship issue is an immediate concern, I guess I can help with any infiltration or fact finding? Some of you I know. How does everyone else figure in?” Every action and movement is quick and on edge. She nods to Rahkinchu and Sinver. “Sorry, I am Beatrix, nice to meet you all”
Looking resplendent in shiny plate armor, and with carefully styled longish auburn hair, a green-eyed half-elf strides up to the party. He flashes a smile full of perfect teeth and heartily announces, "Greetings, comrades! I am Aeneas... Aeneas Northstar, perhaps you have heard of me....No? Well, no matter. We shall all soon bask in glory and the admiration of our peers!"
He looks around at each of you, mentally sizing you up and estimating your ability to hold your own in combat. "I am assigned to Special Forces, Juggernaut Division. I'll be knocking skulls together while you brainy types do whatever it is you do."
Spying Beatrix, he gets down on one knee, and says (a little too loudly),"Greetings, Rabbit.... you speak-a de Common?" (Totally oblivious of the fact that she just addressed the group in Common).
Bryant stands at around 6'2" he is a thin human, dressed in a fine, flowing long, dark blue robe with a golden trim. In stark contrast to Beatrix's spastic appearance Bryant moves with an easy grace and fluidity. He has dark blond hair that falls to about his shoulders and an immaculately maintained beard. He appears to be well armed with a quarterstaff and longbow strapped to his back. At his side you see an ornately carved, platinum sword hilt however it is missing a blade. As he glides towards the group he says, "My what an eclectic group. The name is Bryant, Juggernaut Division as well."
He then kneels down and looks Beatrix in the eye, "First assignment? You seem a bit on edge. Breathe little one; can't let the nerves impair the mission."

"Valeria...Val. I´m a handler. If there´s a problem words can´t solve me and my friends will handle it." Comes from the blonde, emerald eyed elven woman in front of the team. She hasn´t said much on your way to Drakeriver but seems curious over the metal gorilla and the cute rabbitfolk. Mostly though she has scouted for threats, like the floating ship, rather than indulged in pointless conversations. She strides gracefully wearing mantle, that seems to change coloration with the surroundings, over a simple green travellers outfit and a pair of boots with small wings on their sides. She carries an exquisite elven longbow along with a quiver and a backpack. "Our instructions are to find Mayor Gilligan Stumps. And perhaps get some of that fish for dinner." She says, clearly eager to move on.
"Ah, a woman of action! Exactly what we need! Lead on, fair one," Aeneas says, looking Valeria over admiringly, just a few hairs shy of creepy. "Come, fellows, let us be off to adventure and affix our names in the annals of M.E.T.A.L. as heroes and champions! Floating pirates beware, your end is nigh!"
"How observant of you Aeneas." Val says with a slight smirk "I am indeed a woman, and may be fair to you, but I expect you to not be distracted by that on our mission here, is that clear?"
“Mayor Stumps indeed, is anyone feeling talkative?” Beatrix moves forward completely silently ahead of the rest of the group, but consciously staying in sight.
"I think perhaps Aeneas could do the talking for us, if no one else is so inclined." Val says absentmindedly, following Beatrix, looking around for any townsfolk to ask for directions. (Should we perhaps wait for Culuril before proceeding any further?)
"Of course, milady,"Aeneas says with a smile, "A warrior such as I has no time for dalliances, and a woman of such grace and courage must have many suitors. Nevertheless, it will be pleasant to have you in our company. The gods favor the beautiful." He flips his hair casually to the side, admiring his own visage in the reflection of his shield.
(Sorry, a bit behind everyone else it looks like!)
Rahkinchu happily returns Sinver's getting when the group first gathers. And gives Beatrix a polite nod. Otherwise, she stays fairly quiet on their travel to Drakeriver.
She is a relatively young half-orc, dressed in hides and a sort of poncho of rough cloth. While looking sturdy and in decent repair, none of it has any fine touches nor is even all that clean.
Her brown hair is in dreadlocks, which come down to her shoulders and looks a bit unruly. Many beads are braided into it along with the occasional metal clip, one with a colorful feather attached. Each ear has one large piercing along with several gold-colored loops. She has very dark brown eyes and greyish-green skin.
Upon arriving, she seems to take in the city and her fellow companions. She keeps a happy smile on her face, which shows her small tusks.
As Aeneas questions Beatrix, she approaches them. She gives Aeneas a curious look. "Hey! She speaks Common better than you!" (And certainly better than she is speaking, as Rahkinchu has a fairly strong Orcish accent to her Common. )
She then steps over near Sinver, commenting under her breath. "I sure hope we don't have to work much with those elves." This last word is said with a great deal of derision.
As Val suggests they find the mayor, Rahkinchu agrees. "Let's go!"
Holding back towards the rear of the group, she is continually rolling her eyes at nearly everything Aeneas says. A few times she grips the crooked wooden staff she carries quite tightly. She remains quiet however.
Watching the exchange between Val and Aeneas, Bryant just shakes his head thinking This may be a long mission. Hope Aeneas fights better than he charms... Deciding the gnome was his best bet at a normal conversation he strides up next to him and says, "You ever hear anything about a flying boat before? I've been around METAL for a bit, seen my fair share of disturbing but never heard of anything like this." As they walk on he slows his pace considerably for his smaller companions. "I apologize as you seem to be familiar with some of our team, I did not catch your name."

Sinver whispers back to Rahkinchu, "Hah. As long as they do their job or there'll be hell to raise back at the Agency."
Then he turns around to face Bryant, "My apologies. I wanted to confirm identities and forgot to volunteer my own. I am Sinver Sympony also of the Information Services and I have worked with Beatrix and Rahkinchu on a few missions in the past gathering intel and retrieving artefacts. Beatrix gets on my nerves a lot but honestly we do work very well together. Rahkinchu is good people so you can trust her to have your back."
"As for the flying ship this is the first instance I've had to encounter such reports. But until we verify the validity of such rumors, let's not make assumptions and be prepared for anything. We will see if the Mayor can shed some light on all of this."
Aeneas heads toward the nearest wooden building that looks occupied, and pounds on the front door with his gauntlet-ed fist. If anyone answers, he will say "Citizen! We require your assistance. Run to the Mayor and inform him that Aeneas Northstar and his companions have arrived in town, and we will now be pleased to receive him, and entertain any requests he might have. Scurry along, now, quick!"
Beatrix turns to Val and inclines her head towards Aeneas, “It looks like that one has elected himself our leader” she whispers, “as much as comments may annoy, I am not really one for direct confrontation so I am glad to have you with us”
Val smiles at the rabbitfolk beside her. "I don´t really mind him taking charge. At least it keeps his mind of peoples appearances, his own in particular." She says with a wry smile patting Beatrice on the back. "I´m not much of a talker myself, but if it comes to a direct confrontation I will call upon the help of some friends of mine. You just keep your head down. I´m sure you will excel in other areas Beatrice."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing Aeneas having some trouble charming the locals after all Val decides to step in and take a less pompous approch. "We are sorry to disturb you and your folks this late. I´m Valeria, we are agents of M.E.T.A.L. There has been reports of a floating ship conducting raids on nearby towns. We have been sent here to protect your town against incoming threats. We were supposed to report to your Mayor Gilligan Stumps if you could give us some directions." Val says plainly as an owl lands on her left shoulder giving off a soft hoot as if reporting in after a scouting mission.

A small gnome (but tall for his race) on top of what looks like a metal gorilla addresses Aeneas.
"Yes Sir Aeneas Northstar. Beatrix does speak Common... although sometimes I wish she didn't speak at all..."
Sinver looks at Beatrix and with an exasperated sigh puts his head into his hand.
"So we've been paired up again? It must be something important. You better not derail another plan with your antics!"
Then he looks at Rahkinchu more favorably, "It is good to see you though."
Finally his gaze shifts over to the other 3 party members.
"And appears we've been matched up with enforcers. A cross department collaboration."
