Baudric perception: 10

Mansion

Amelia, you drop the thieves tools to the ground and the Baronnes realizes what you're trying to do. "Get away from that door, now!"

The Baron rushes in," What's the commotion ... you shouldn't do that."

Amelia, as this is going on, you hear what sounds like a man's voice coming from the other side and he's calling for help.

Wachterhaus

Baudric and Keldon, as you're talking to Fiona, you notice a large potrait of Strahd Von Zarovich prominently displayed, along with crests on both sides of the portrait. 

Robin moves so her, and her companions, are not close to their hosts, then casts Hypnotic Pattern on the two of them. Positioning the spell not to hit the three companions.
Wis save, DC is 15.

Keldon stares at the portrait of Strahd, concern growing. "Do you... Enjoy the company of Strahd and his type?" Keldon's horrid teeth begin to become more apparent, his jaw dropping a bit.

Baudric carefully eyes the lady as she responds to Keldon.

Insight: 17

Bral seeing Amelia fail to open the door, and hearing the voices of a man on the other side, moves to the door. He positions his shoulder against the door and gives is strong shove to try and force the door open.

Wachterhaus

Fiona smiles and nods at the portrait. "It's a lovely portrait, in't it? Why yes, my family has been loyal to Strahd for generations. He's been good to us and we've been good to him. I won't lie, I was hoping he'd help me usurp the Baron and Baroness, but he just said 'have your kids marry.' Sadly that didn't work. Why do you ask?" 

Bugomaster's Mansion

Robin, you cast the spell and the Baron's expression turns to content when he realizes the colors in the room. The Baroness blinks for several moments before turning to you. "What did you do? What have you done to my husband?"

OOC: I rolled the saves on here, but the spoiler tag was messing up, so the Baron failed his save and the Baroness met the DC so she barely passed. 

"Not everyone cares for such... Dark forces. What do you make of him and these rumors?" Keldon is beginning to imagine eating this Lady. 

Amelia grits her teeth and makes her own attempt to shove down the door.

Athletics: 6

Baudric starts to wonder if this is a case of the cure is worse than the disease or of two birds with one stone.

Wachterhaus

 "Dark forces aren't always bad, but rumors do you speak of?" she asks, raising an eyebrow. 

Burgomaster Mansion

Amelia you and Bral both push down that door and inside is a man chained to the wall. "Thank the gods you heard me."

The Baroness screams "Guards, get in here!"

Robin, are you going to do anything with the Baron since he's charmed so to speak. 

"The kind that do this to a man," and Keldon reveals his enormous dhamphir teeth

"What are you doing chaining up men in your own homes?" Bral snaps as he turns around to glare at the baroness.

He then moves next to the man and begins pulling at the chains in an attempt to try and break the man free.

Baudric tries to speak as diplomatically as he can, "The baron does have a reputation for trapping people in this land, as well as pursuing certain individuals against their will."

Wachterhaus

Keldon, you expose your fangs and Fiona stares in awe. "My, my, what big teeth you have. 

Her attention turns back to Baudric. "Yes, the Baron has a mind of making people disappear, at least those who don't agree with him. I've been trying to look into Udo's disappearance but haven't found anything. Majesto was no help." 

Majesto materializes next to Baudric, arms crossed like a child. "Hey, I tried. The Baron just has magical defenses or something." 

"I'm sure he does," Lady Fiona quips.  

Burgomaster Mansion

Bral, you attempt to remove the shackles and it looks like they tear just a little, but haven't come off. 

Keldon loses steam in getting angry, not used to being actively admired. It's a bit hard to ignore that it feels good. 

"Do... Do you have anything to eat? No. Wait." He looks to Baudric a bit plaintive, and helpless.

"I have some cookies," Fiona answers as a maid brings in two plates of cookies. Majesto is about to snag one when Fiona points to a plate. "Those are for you, Majesto. Eat as much as you like, Keldon. These are baked from flower and fresh ingredients. Not like those meat pieces those hags make that put you to sleep and are made from childrens' bones." 

Bral takes a quick look over his shoulder. If the no guards have not shown up yet, then he will continue to pull at the chains.

 (Possible point of confusion, Baudric was talking about Strahd, not the burgomeister. I just mixed up the titles thinking he was a baron and not a count somehow.)

Wachterhaus

OOC: Okay. Fiona's opinion on the two are quite different. You get the sense that she's loyal to Strahd and she wants to dispose of the Burgomaster. 

Burgomaster Mansion

Robin's spell goes off and assuming she's trying to prevent a fight from breaking out, she'll try and convince the Burgomaster to not let things escalate. The Baron holds out his hand. "Now, now we don't have to do anything hasty. That man is a prisoner."
