Douth's beam of crackling energy goes wide of the peryton and dissipates harmlessly into the mountain air. Kathra'sice knife, however pierces its target and showers the beast with icy shards.
Meanwhile, Copper stands ready with axe in hand...
Waiting for Friar's round 2 action. The perytons' will follow.

The piercing cold does nothing to dissuade the first peryton from attacking. As it streaks between Douthand Kathra, Douth's blade carves a large gash beneath the peryton's right wing. Despite being sorely wounded, the monstrosity attempts to claw and gore Kathrain its diving, flyby attack...
Melee attack with talons: 18, 10 piercing damage (plus an addition 3 damage, if successful, from the dive attack)
Melee attack with antlers: 18, causing 11 piercing damage ((plus an addition 9 damage, if successful, from the dive attack)
Sixty feet to the south, Copperfaces the same threat. The second peryton dives upon him, aiming talons and antlers at him...
Melee attack with talons: 9, 8 piercing damage (plus an addition 15 damage, if successful, from the dive attack)
Melee attack with antlers: 8, causing 6 piercing damage ((plus an addition 7 damage, if successful, from the dive attack)
To the west, you spy a third peryton descending upon the battlefield...
(Copper may take his reaction, and then all players may take their round 3 actions. Peryton 1 is badly wounded)
As the antlers of the diving peryton stab and find purchase, Copper does his best to ignore the pain and slashes down with his battle axe before the peryton (#2) can get out of range.
Attack: 20 Damage: 8 magical slashing damage.
If he hits, he will add a divine smite to the attack adding an additional 7 of radiant damage.
Total: 15 damage.
Round 3:
Copper then moves the last 5' to the rock outcropping and quickly looks at it to see if there's a readily accessible ledge he can climb up to (with the last 10' of climbing movement he has) where he will then turn and ready another attack with his axe if the peryton comes back.
I'm posting on behalf of lyssamoon and using Kathra's attack in post #42 to do so. I'm applying her attack to peryton #2 because Douth finishes off peryton #1
I'm using the damage from post #48 for Friar's attack because of the dice-rolling error that occurred in our out-of-character thread
Douth's spell extinguishes the bit of remaining life in the first peryton. The creature crashes violently into the ground before tumbling a few times and landing in a broken heap.
Copper's blade finds flesh, cutting deeply into the peryton's (#2) belly as it flies past. Moments later the monster shrieks at being struck by the bolt from Friar's crossbow.
Kathra, seeing that Douth has eliminated the most immediate threat, turns her chill touch upon the peryton that just attacked Copper. Already suffering the harm from Copper's axe and Friar's crossbow shot, the peryton is too weak to withstand Kathra's chill necromancy. Falling lifeless and limp in midflight, the second peryton falls, colliding with ground with a dull thud.
The four of you immediately turn your eyes to the third peryton. It seems content to remain high overhead (approximately 200' or so) and circle the meadow.
"See, this is the problem with wide open spaces," Copper begins as he looks at the others to make sure they're okay. "Great bloody big birds think you're lunch."
Then he laughs.
"But that did get the heart beating," Copper says through his laughter. "Everyone alright?"
He shoulders his shield, and with a wary eye on the third circling peryton, continues along their path.
The lone peryton remains high overhead for a few minutes but eventually soars over a mountain ridge and disappears.
After the encounter with the perytons, the journey through White Meadow to Immercrag to Feldpool was quiet and uneventful. Your heightened awareness and attention to detail revealed nothing along the way. It seems that, if anything did go awry with Elrik's burial party, it must have occurred with the mountain.
So, after several hours spent in the fresh, open air, the four of you say goodbye to the outside world and prepare for the descent into the mountain where you will pass the Truemetal Vein and, shortly thereafter, arrive at the crypts of Clan Immercleave. The Truemetal Vein, now a massive, hollowed-out tunnel reveals nothing of importance, but you can't help but appreciate the colossal effort it must have taken to carve through such an enormous expanse of dark granite.
Past the Vein and down a lengthy set of elaborately carved stairs you go, and you at last see the decorative arch covered in bas relief and runes that leads into the Immercleave crypts. It's been a few years since any of you have stepped foot in the hallowed burial place of the clan's elders, but you still approach with a sense of reverence and mild awe. That sense of awe, unfortunately, is quickly crushed beneath feelings of dismay and disbelief. Walking into the first burial room, you discover a scene of carnage.
All five members of Elrik's burial party lie in pools of blood; Elrik's corpse, still shrouded, rests upon the floor as well. Additionally, the bodies of two duergars are located amid the bloodshed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When they first set foot into Truemetal Vein, Copper takes a deep breath and feels equal parts peace and awe. He takes a moment to deal with the lingering damage the strike from the peryton did (Lay On Hands to heal 13HP).
"Good as new," Copper says to the others then he looks around at the tunnel with a smile. "Fine sense of purpose here. Straight. Efficient. Does what it's supposed to do."
But as they enter the crypts his face falls.
"Careful," Copper says. "Two duergar's didn't take out the whole processional. Others could be waiting in the shadows."
He moves steadily towards the site of the carnage, but all the while looking left and right, keeping an eye out for an ambush.
You take a half minute or so to gaze into the shadows and check the various alcoves in the oddly-shaped room. Eventually, you're confident that no threats exist. Taking your first thorough look at the slain, you surmise that things are what they seem: a battle between Clan Immercleave and some duergars occurred. The duergars have multiple slashing wounds seemingly caused by Immercleave axes. And your dead clanmates bear the piercing wounds from duergar war picks and crossbows.
(I'm assuming the investigation began with the bodies of the deceased; so, I didn't provide any information about the room in general)
NOTE: As members of Clan Immercleave, you are aware that deep within these mountains duergar dwell. You have no knowledge, however, of any recent interactions between them and the clan.

After confirming all of the Elrik's family and the priest are dead and can't be saved, Copper turns to seeing if anything is missing in the crypt: have any tombs been disturbed or damaged, any thing left by other duergars, etc.
Perception: 8
"If there are no signs of other duergar, we should clean our Immercleave brethern and secure them," Copper begins. "Then go get help and bring them back."
