Kellan approaches the hut and tries the door. If it's unlocked, he goes inside and begins to look around for anything unusual or anything that would hint at where the trapper might have gone.
Adalai gives a small harrumph as he clears his throat, placing his hands on his hips. "Well. That doesn't sound good at all, not even a little bit. Do you think you could show my friends and I to where you all last saw her? I imagine, or at least really hope, you looked around, but there's a reason we were called upon. Something of heroes you might say." Adalai says, a not so subtle air of affectation in his voice as he shoots a wink off to the side at the wood elf.

As Kellan opens to door to the trapper's house, all seems in order, doesn't look like he left in a rush or anything. In the course of the investigation, you find a largish snake of a type common to the area under the bed. It slithers towards to door when you see it.

"As much as we want to help, we've all been forbidden to enter the woods just take the east road into the woods about a quarter mile, there is a tree growing in the road there, due south form there just out of sight of the road is a clearing with a stone fire pit. That's where we were."

Adalai gives a nod back towards Cyst, before returning his gaze to the folks in front of him. "I see, I see. Well, normally I'd advocate for general delinquency, but seeing the circumstances... it might be just a bit wiser to use caution for the next few weeks. Well, either way, don't worry. We'll get your friend back and soon we'll be sitting by a fire with an ale, listening to the story of it."He gives a pointed look towards the lute player, "I want you at the Roost playing accompaniment for the performance, you hear? You got a performers air about ya, a rule future in store."With that, he gives one last smile to the group before him, turning to face his companions as his smile falls from his face, growing contemplative.
"Let's head back to that trappers house, I don't know why, but I have a horrible feeling the Elves are involved somehow. And things get ugly when they get involved."

Kellan nods at Tristan. "An interesting coincidence..."
As they leave the trapper's house, he looks up at the sky and checks the position of the sun. He doesn't want to waste daylight checking the houses when he knows where Aleesa was last seen. "What do you say we go and meet up with the others?"

He pauses as he approaches, giving a small nod past the group towards the house. "You all already taken a looksie?"

"We did. The trapper's house doesn't look like anybody went through and wrecked it or anything, so whatever happened to him must have happened somewhere other than his home. There was also a weird snake coincidence, but I don't think there's a thing there yet."
Kellan scowls at Adalai. "She's not my girlfriend," he objects. "In fact, she's been seeing some bloke named Silas. Heard anything about him? What all did you find out?"

Adalai shoots Kellan a wink, flicking his tail back and forth mirthfully. "Well, I'm glad I don't have to break the bad news to you myself. Her friends didn't know too much about the fella, just that she'd been real secretive with him, sneaking off to meet with him. We do know however where she was last seen, might be a good place to take a look at next." He gives a small smirk over to Tristan, cocking his head to the side slightly. "Unless of course, you three think that this... 'snake coincidence' requires further investigating? I'm perfectly fine galivanting through the woods looking for pretty reptiles."

The snake is an ordinary snake, maybe a big large, of the type usually seen in the East Woods. It speeds out the door at your approach.
