You've been invited to the Ravens' Roost tavern in Daven's Falls. It's a well-made building located near the bridge over the river that divides the town in half. It's most distinguishing feature are the nooks and crannies along the eaves which the local raven population have taken a great liking too. It's a matter of some debate in the town as to whether the building was built to attract the raven's or if the inn was renamed when they colonized.
You are supposed to meet with Undermayor Harbin about some difficulties the town is having. As you enter the tavern, it is mostly empty, aside from a small knot of farmers at a corner table, and Oleira, the fiery-haired halfling woman who runs the place, ordering some staff about. There is a large table set aside from the others with a small "Reserved" sign marking it.

Cyst was born and raised at Daven's fall. He is from a family of sailors and fishermen (hence sailor background) but he also had some law problems during his youth, problems he is not eager to talk about.
He wears a hornet helmet and no armor, a long glaive always follows him in battle.
He is quite tall and muscular built, he has brown hair eyes and a pair of long moustaches. He is human, male, in his twenties.
His attitude is rude but he is good company.
IN GAME
When news reached Cyst that he was to present himself at the inn to "solve a problem", he was eager to go (Cyst is adventurous and sometimes considered hasty)
but then he heard that to Undermayor requested this "audience", he is suspicious...he just hopes he has nothing to do with him or his family, whose fame is not really really good.
Crossing the bridge, he thinks:
"Well, I cannot avoid it, he knows where I live, if they wanted they could come and get me anyway...mhhh"
He knows the inn quite well, even if it is not actually the inn he prefers.
Entering, playing aloof hands in his pockets, he scans the inn but it is almost empty, the RESERVED table is pretty clear for him, so he goes to bar:
"morning, Oleira, I guess that table is for the Undermayor, isn't it?"
Tristan Linares, the well-renowned scholar of the skies, picks a spot within eyeshot of the 'Reserved' table, but not at it. He clips his pouch from his waist, opens it up, and removes the three-inch-thick roll of pieces of parchment, all of which contain various arrangements of dots that bear a passing resemblance to parts of the night sky. He carefully unrolls the bunch, finds a spot about two-thirds of the way in, and studies it intently.
*** Tristan is a thin human, with shaggy short-to-medium brown hair. He walks slightly hunched forward, almost like he's always looking for something on the ground. His leather armor is just a little too big, he carries a wooden shield attached to his backpack and wears a scimitar on his left hip.
Kellan walks into the tavern, having received the summons from the mayor. He has been doing his part to protect Daven's Falls for years now, but this is the first time the mayor has wanted to speak to him personally about it. Kellan is curious and a bit excited at the prospect. The hard work he has done has finally earned him some recognition. And with greater recognition comes greater rewards. He's not in it for the coin, but more coin never hurt either.
He approaches Oleira, who he is quite familiar with from his own many trips to the tavern where he always orders his usual, a tankard of mead. Kellan has a bit of a sweet tooth.
"Greetings, Oleira," he says cheerfully to the fiery-haired halfling woman. "Undermayor Harbin called for me. Are we to be meeting at that reserved table?"
As he speaks to Oleira, he notices that someone has gotten there first, a tall human man wearing a hornet helmet. He glances at the man curiously. He's never seen him before, and Daven's Falls is a small town.

Ammus reread the parchment delivered to him by the falcon this morning. The Undermayor requested his assistance, stating "your experience in these woods will prove essential for this task." He looked around the tavern, hoping to catch a glimpse of Adalai. Perhaps today would be the day he would indulge Lai..... or not, Ammus thought humorously.
His eyes fluttered to the nesting ravens, eliciting a stubborn smile from the dragonborn. Nature always finds a way back. As he followed the line of nests, Ammus noticed a table by which a group of folks - adventurers, no doubt- were gathering. He made his way over.
"Well met, Kellan," he greeted his fellow ranger. He sat down, setting his quiver next to his seat. The quiver attracted some odd looks from those who haven't seen him as often as others, but regulars knew Ammus refused to go anywhere without it.
Misty enters, a genasi with flowing blue hair and skin a lighter shade of the colour. An amulet with the symbol of Tinel hangs around her neck, and her hands are gloved to stop their perpetual wetness from damaging any book she reads. She looks up and notices Tristan as she walks in, then heads over to him.
“Hello, Tristan! Learn anything new lately? I’ve been reading this really interesting book on the Fey. I don’t think it has anything to do with your search, but it’s fascinating nonetheless,”
Tristan practically jumps in his chair. "Misty! Hi, please, sit down. I don't even know where to begin. Remember the last time we met, where I pointed out the blank space between those stars was bigger than it should be?"
He goes through the roll of scraps, pulls out the relevant portion, and points. "And that I would study it more? Well, the strangest thing happened..."
He pulls out a flower bud and holds it between his fingers in his left hand. He snaps, casts Druidcraft and slowly, the flower comes to life, opening to reveal wild blue petals. He hands the flower to Misty. "I have magic now."
"Funny you should mention the Feywild, though." He shakes his head. "Anyway, what's new with you?"
The door to the tavern once again swings open as a haggard looking Tiefling leans heavily on the door frame. His ebony skin shines with a thin sheen of sweat as he lifts a hand to delicately wipe at his forehead, his eyes squinting to adjust to the candlelight of the room ahead. The man stifles a yawn before pushing himself off the door, walking heavily past the growing group of travelers congregating in the room and up to the bar. Sliding himself clumsily into a stool, he brings his head to softly rest in the crook of his arms as he gingerly leans onto the counter. A muffled voice rings out of a parched throat saying, "You were right Miss Oleira, you were right... but I'm ready to accept that pitcher of water now."
His head slowly turns as it rests on his arms until he's looking back at the Dragon, Viking, and Ranger and a small smile crawls across his face, his eyes lighting up as he recognizes some familiar faces. "You three look like the beginning of a bad joke." He says lazily as he gives two small nods to Kellan and Ammus.

"Bad joke, eh? I have a feeling its not as bad as your, how shall we say 'bard meets dragon' joke, eh Lai?" Ammus laughed to the tiefling. He scooted a seat next to him out. "I believe you have come for the same purpose I have, yes?"
Oleira acknowledges those that ask, and points them to the reserved table.
A few minutes later, Undermayor Harbin walks in. A tall human man, muscularly built, his mahogany skin and mild accent showing his origins in the Summer Kingdoms. His head is shaved, and he sports a well tended black beard shot through with grey. He dresses well for the area but not out of place.
"Greetings, I hope you are all well. I have asked you all here to investigate 3 recent disappearances of townsfolk, I hope you will be interested in helping me."
"There are three missing people. Old Laughing Joe, a trapper and wilderness guide who was expected back from a short trip and didn't show at the trading post. He was trapping in the East Woods, near the Naked Hill. Father Semple of Anwyn, the priest who runs our largest temple, simply didn't show to services a few days ago. Lastly, my daughter Aleesa. She was up to who knows what in the woods with her friends, went off for some privacy and disappeared. I'm desperate due to my own concern, but I'm terrified something worse is happening with three victims."

As far as the missing people go, he knows all three, and he feels a cold pit form in his stomach when he thinks what could have befallen any of them. The woods can be a very dangerous place. He's particularly concerned for Aleesa. Kellan had been spending more time with her, of late, and had developed what can only be called a bit of a crush on the girl.
"Of course I'll do anything I can to find them and return them safely, Undermayor," says Kellan. "You have my word."
