D'ward motions towards the Innkeeper. "He's up to his old tricks, Stonehill. Can you help see that Ugly Beard makes it up to his room?"
The Innkeeper motions for his workers to assist Ugly Beard to his room. Ugly Beard is half-awake trying to sip on an empty bottle at this point. One eye closed, he looks for any drops that may be left in the glass vessel as the young barkeeps help Ugly Beard to his feet and up the stairs to the 2nd level of Stonehill Inn.

Constanza will address the elven colleague by saying:
"Yes, treasures. D'ward doesn't seem interested in the idea of claiming his portion of the treasure. Possibly, it has something to do with the unimaginable creature that he had to witness during a shipwreck."
She pulls out a small leather pouch which holds the bandages, splints and salves of her Healer's Kit while inspecting the irregular movement and wretched condition of Ugly Beard. Then she will follow the workers who are providing support to the bulky man to reach his chamber safely.
"I'll be back in a while, that poor guy certainly needs medical attention."
Constanza tilts her head slightly while reconsidering her decision to aid the bearded male, then returns to the table and settles herself in a comfortable position.
"We'll wait and see what happens to him"- the warlock woman comments while relaxing her muscles and growing less concerned about Ugly Beard. She will engage in the conversation regarding the personal extent of experience of aquatic terrain, but she's reluctant to share too much private information.
"Yes, I do have experience. I was responsible for protecting the underwater settlement from external magical invasion, but I quit my job. The end."
Bran looks at Constanza with raised eyebrows and whispers, “You good?”
He hasn’t heard much about her past but knows she’s been battle tested. Bran has seen her magical abilities firsthand. Constanza once exploded an assassin’s head, saving Bran from his throat from being slit.
"Yes, Triton I would be a fool to question your abilities beneath the waves! Very well, Bran, a marine... Your experience is invaluable." D'ward sits back down at the table.

D'ward looks around the Stonehill Inn as the energy level rises. The ale is flowing and a couple of bards are performing near the bar. Music and laughter fill the tavern.
"Perhaps we can move this meeting upstairs, where we could afford ourselves some privacy?"

“Sounds good to me. I’m gonna grab four bottles of mead. Do you all want anything?” Bran stands and waits to see if anyone wants anything before they all head up stairs
The innkeeper approaches the table, "D'ward, Ugly Beard made it upstairs, but not without a fight. HAHA Stubborn old drunk! I have secured two rooms for you this evening, per your request. If you need anything, you know who to ask."

D'ward leads the party upstairs. You can hear Ugly Beard snoring loudly from inside one of the rooms. You enter a quant, comfy room with a central table and a candle lit, which illuminates a map of the Sword Coast. There are three beds among other furniture and fixtures. D'ward motions for everyone to sit with him at the table.
D'ward has a friendly face, however he does appear to be deep in thought at all times. Calculating. As everyone takes their seats, he gathers his thoughts and prepares his words.
"Thank you for joining me, travelers! As I mentioned before, it is an honor to be in the presence of such skilled and accomplished adventurers. Word has spread in this area of your presence and it has not gone unnoticed. I run with several circles who have a lot of eyes and ears along the Sword Coast."

Just as he says this, the young tavern boy enters the room with a tray, delivering 8 bottles of mead to the table. D'ward to the boy, smiling a sharp-toothed grin, "Thank you, Korwin. You're a fine lad, indeed." Korwin seems in over his head. He is confident but clearly nervous.

As Korwin goes to leave, D'ward stands up, "May I ask you a question, young lad?" Korwin turns to face the table. "Sir?"
"Have you ever been at sea?"
"I beg your pardon, sir?"
D'ward steps towards Korwin as he points and smiles, "The Trackless Sea! The Sea of Swords! Have you been on a ship?!"
Korwin ponders for a moment. "A rowboat."
"A rowboat you say?", D'ward laughs. "That's great!" Sarcastic but encouraging.
"Ugly Beard has promised to take me on his keelboat."
"Of course he has! Young Korwin, tell me, please. Did you encounter any "beasts" of the sea? Any threats to speak of on your rowboat adventure?"
"Well... an octopus did reach for my oar."
"Oh, my! And tell me, young chap, what did you do?"
Korwin looks down and then back up at D'ward, "Well sir, wasn't much I could do to be honest. He took my oar and I rowed home with one oar..."
"That is a riot!" D'ward slaps his knees and reaches into his cloak with lightning speed, he whips a dagger straight towards Korwin. Korwin is petrified as the dagger strikes the wall right behind his head. SHWIISHTHWOMP!
D'ward laughs, "Take that dagger for yourself, lad. You're gonna need it! It's sharp. The sea is rough! There are more than just octopuses lurking beneath those waves. There are swimming nightmares that you wouldn't soon forget... Anyways, the next time an ornery octopus tries taking one of your oars, you give him a taste of your blade! Now, be gone Korwin!"
Korwin looks wide-eyed at D'ward and the party and quickly takes the knife, smiling, and runs out of the room and down the stairs.
